I’m head-over-heals in love with almost every new product in Stampin’ Up!’s 2016 Holiday Catalog. There’s something for everyone in this book – and that means I can make all types of cards for the holidays – sweet, modern, vintage or just plain cute. For today’s project, a card I made for this week’s Paper Players challenge, I went with the latter. Featuring the baby bear from Fa-la-la-la Friends, this card is just plain cute. Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for Jaydee’s theme challenge that inspired my card:
- Cuteness Overload. The simple layout of my card points you straight to the big circles with the adorable bear (from Fa-la-la-la Friends and his Christmas gift (from Weather Together). I stamped the bear the bear on Crumb Cake cardstock and cropped him with my Bear Hugs Framelits. I stamped him again on Pear Pizzazz and snipped out his little sweater, coloring the tiny tree with my Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Marker. The presents was stamped on Real Red and again on Soft Sky. I snipped both pieces out and put them together.
The bears and festooned cod in this set pair with the Bear Hugs Framelits Dies, while the fa-la-la-la-llama pairs with the Fiesta Time Framelits. I love that Stampin’ Up! has helped us to make full use of these framelits – if you’ve got’em, you’ve got to have this set. 🙂
- Tin of Tags. This fun sentiment is my card’s finishing touch. SPECIAL DELIVERY – how cute is that?! The stamp set, Tin of Tags, is designed to coordinate with the Tin of Tags Project Kit, but the set works wonderfully on it’s own. The set contains a huge variety of Christmas sentiments in a variety of styles. I do love a good sentiment set! As simple as it is, SPECIAL DELIVERY says so much without saying much at all. Here’s a look at the stamp set:
And here’s a look at Stampin’ Up!’s video for this amazing Project Kit – starring my adorable friend Donna from Stampin’ Up!’s home office:
- Sweet, Soft Christmas. The Real Red bow on the bear’s package pulls warmth from the panel of Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack below him, while the Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sky add soft, sweet elements to the card. These softer shades might not be expected for Christmas, but they sure are sweet! It’s just another combination of red, blue and green. If you like this combination, too, feel free to save this:
Stamp Sets: Fa-la-la-la Friends, Tin of Tags Papers: Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Whisper White Inks: Archival Basic Black, Stampin’ Write Markers (Emerald Envy and Real Red) Accessories: Bear Hugs Framelits Dies, Layering Circle Framelits Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to The Paper Players site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today!

One benefits of getting up early; I get to be the first one to tell you that this card is adorable! That present from Weather Together pairs perfectly with Baby Bear in his pajamas. I love it!
there couldn’t be anything sweeter about this card and a baby bear in jammies!
The sweet sentiment is perfect with this simplistic bear with package. Great take on the challenge, Brian.
That little bear and his gift pair perfectly with the Warmth and Cheer DSP! Too cute!! Thanks for the inspiration:-)
Awwwww ….. cute ! Love this baby bear (especially since he doesn`t have those claw feet) This stamp set is really cute ! Might have to get it !
Love baby bears in jammies, Brian! Adorable card & greeting!
OH Brian – this card is just so sweet. And, live everyone else, I too fell in love with that baby bear. How could anyone not? Now this would have been the perfect card for my Mom when she had me. My BD is December 19th and everyone told my Mom I was the best Christmas present ever. I think there were probably, well most likely, days when she had serious doubts about that. Anyway – a sweet baby card in Christmas colors is just fabulous. I would never think to use Christmas colors for a baby card but your pulled it off perfectly.
Cracks me up – his little jammies! So, so cute. Glad his feet are covered up 🙂
Aww!! sweet as can be, love this baby bear image, cute and cuddly.
Beautiful layout as always.
You could color his little feet as in footed jammies or slippers. Tiny bunny slippers? Whatever, this is just too cute. The daddy bear has to have some boots of some sort – I love his sweater but not those claws/toes. Or, all else put a present at his feet so you can use that one too! Very cute card!
So precious!
Is there anything cuter than a pigeon toed baby bear in holiday jammies? Yes, a Brian King card with that bear on it. This card is just so stinkin’ cute, I love it.
Aw, this is so cute! A great way to combine sentiments and images…and the colors are perfect! Sweet creation! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week! We always enjoy your participation!
