Blog Candy Giveaway – WINNERS!

On Friday, I celebrated my birthday with a parade of birthday cards I’ve shared over the past several months and a blog candy giveaway.  I asked you to share your favorite type of cake to be entered in the drawing.  Before I share the winners, I have a couple of opinions I need to share.

• If you said that chocolate-on-chocolate is the best, then you are wrong.  Sorry.  Chocolate icing is amazing on a white or yellow cake, and chocolate cake is great with a cream cheese icing.  Chocolate-on-chocolate is wrong.  I promise I didn’t let that affect the selection of the winners.  🙂
• I was amazed by the number of respondents who favor citrus cakes.  I love that!  I grew up with key lime pie, lemon tarts and pineapple upside down cake, but I don’t even think of orange cake and lemon cake when contemplating cake – maybe I should.
• Some of you buttered up to me by saying “coconut cake” and “peanut butter cake.”  You are very smart!  It still didn’t sway my choice of the winners – that was completely random.  I really respect the ones who said “caramel cake” because you don’t know it’s also one of my favorites.

What’s the giveaway?  I’m giving away two Merry Medley stamp sets.  This is a wonderful background stamp set that’s filled with great sentiments for Christmas.  While it’s a great background stamp, the clear-mount stamp can be cut into a bunch of different sentiments.  If you don’t have this set, you’ll love it.  If you do have it, then congratulations on getting another that you can snip to pieces.  🙂
