Oooo-eeeee! I’m so excited about Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Holiday Catalog. You are going to love the variety of products and new tools! Such fun for all of the Fall Holidays! While demonstrators who were on Stampin’ Up!’s Incentive Trip in Thailand received copies of the new catalog (and lots of amazing loot), we weren’t able to share new stuff until now. What fun!
It was so fun to open up all my new products and to study them all so carefully. I came home with some great products for Halloween, Autumn and Christmas. What fun! I couldn’t wait to ink up my Painted Harvest stamp set and am excited to share my card with you today. Here’s my card:
- Painted Harvest. There are no pilgrims or falling leaves on this stamp set, but Painted Harvest is filled to the brim with “Autumn and thanksgiving.” The leaves and acorn can be assembled with a two-step stamping process (and the gorgeous flower uses three stamps). These images are perfect for a background (like my card) or as a focal image on a card. What a gorgeous look! The sentiments are beautiful, too!
Here are the three sentiments in this set (I love them all!):
- “Your kindness means so much more than you will ever know.”
- “I am thankful for you.”
- “gather together & give thanks”
- Building a sunflower. Here are the steps I took to create each of the beautiful sunflowers on my project:
- I stamped the large watercolored image (in the bottom, left of the picture above) with a light amount of Crushed Curry. I have two Crushed Curry pads (not sure why), but one is low on ink and the other is richly new. That made it easy for me!
- I then stamped the smaller watercolored petals (just to the right of the first one) with a rich concentration of Crushed Curry.
- I finished each flower by stamping the center (in the top, right of the picture below) with Soft Suede. What fun!
- Autumn Colors. Boy, oh, boy! These colors work together perfectly for a warm, Autumn card, don’t you think? The yellow and brown were easy to choose with these gorgeous flowers. To add a little touch of brightness, I added small layers of Old Olive and a thick base of Crumb Cake. Both add a nice touch! If you like this color combination, too, please save this:
Stamp Sets: Painted Harvest Papers: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Very Vanilla Inks: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede Accessories: Linen Thread, Stampin’ Dimensionals
