Love You to Pieces Bundle for GDP

Today I’m sharing a fun card I made for this week’s Global Design Project sketch. I had two ideas for the sketch – if you’d like to see my first project (which I shared Monday as part of the Design Team) with this sketch, you can click here. Monday’s card was sweet and pretty – today’s card is bright and fun. Here’s the card I’m excited to share with you today:

And here’s the banner for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge that inspired my card:

  • Love You to Pieces. The Love You to Pieces Bundle includes two new Stampin’ Up! products: the Love You to Pieces stamp set and the coordinating Puzzle Pieces Thinlits Dies. I only used the stamp set for today’s project – an explanation is provided below. Here’s a look at the Love You to Pieces bundle: Love You to Pieces, Stampin' Up! 148396I have two notes to share about the Love You to Pieces – (1) The large puzzle piece cuts out the solid-colored puzzle pieces that say “Love you” and “to pieces,” but it doesn’t fit the outline of a puzzle piece that I used on my project. I realized it after I colored my puzzle pieces, but I was too excited about my idea for this card to let it go. I used my electronic cutter to cut these pieces. (2) You are going to love the puzzle pieces and sentiment such that you reach for them every time you make a project. I wasn’t expecting to love them as much as I do. I promise – you will love them! <3
  • Stampin’ Blends. I’m loving the new Stampin’ Blends! If you don’t have all of them yet, you should look into it. 🙂 I stamped the large puzzle pieces with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Thick Whisper White and colored them with a mix of the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. Love You to Pieces, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingIt’s SO EASY to color with a smooth, streak-free appearance. Love! All of the Stampin’ Blends are in stock right now – here are the new colors: New Stampin' Blends Colors
  • Unexpected Color Combination. I didn’t expect these colors to come together as wonderfully as they did – and I love them. Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade and Balmy Blue make for a fun mix of reds and blues. If you like this combination as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up! 4. What a fun set! I know all the little great nieces and nephews would have a good time with this one. I always tell them “I love you to pieces” so it is going to be a “must have” set for me for sure. Great card Brian and I really think the color combo is fabulous.

Now ….WHOA ! Cherry Cobbler and Poppy Parade ….I am going to give this a try because they are like mixing the waltz and salsa dancing !!

  6. This is just a fun card with real charm – color combo, design and sentiment all work together. The bakers twine bow reinforces the sentiment. May have to case this gem!!

  7. Love this bright card, Brian. The color combo is a King special. When I read about how the dies didn’t cut the piece you used, I looked at what I thought was fussy cutting and thought what a fabulous job you did. Glad to know your electronic cutter made it much easier. Great bow!! Have a great day!

    • Thanks so much, my friend. There’s no way I could have gotten in and out of those rounded puzzle cutouts. I love to snip, but I’m not that good. 🙂 Thanks for your comments. So glad you like it. <3
