On Thursday I shared my project for this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge (you can see that post here), and on Friday, I shared two alternatives of the same card with measurements of the layers (you can see that post here). Since this sketch is my first as a designer for the CAS(E) This Sketch team, I’ve decided to create a completely different card with the same sketch. What fun! Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge that inspired my card:
- Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. How gorgeous are these watercolored pages from the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper? This pack is one of the most versatile papers – gorgeous florals and abstract images that can be used for projects with a masculine or feminine appeal – lots of blues and greens, along with yellows and pinks on some. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers:
Good news! The Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, featured on this card, is one of ten packs of Designer Series Papers in Stampin’ Up!’s “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion in July. There’s no better time to stock up! Click on the picture below to check out the sale in my online store:
- Doily Accent. I don’t usually decorate with doilies, but I couldn’t help myself here. The delicate lines in the colored doilies are a perfect accent for this gorgeous paper. Here’s a look at the Colored Doilies:
Wait?! COLORED Doilies? But that doily looks white. Oh, yeah! I flipped over one of the doilies in the pack to showcase the white side and added the sentiment punched with a 2-1/4″ Circle punch:
- Blue and Yellow. I love the mix of blues in the lower panel on this card – will have to use it more. The So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam used with the blues in the top panel are great accents for these blues – a gorgeous mix of soft, bright and neutral. If you like this combination of So Saffron, Pacific Point and Night of Navy, please save this:
Stamp Sets: Love What You Do Papers: Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Night of Navy, So Saffron, Thick Whisper White Inks: Night of Navy Accessories: 2-1/4″ Circle punch, Colored Doilies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the CAS(E) This Sketch site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian, this card is a stunner, the colors are gorgeous on the DSP and I love the way you created the sentiment, these doilies are beautiful and it was so clever of you to turn one over, excellent idea.
Thank you for sharing.

Brian. Love your card. Great design, color and use of our great products!!
I love this more feminine card using the beautiful DSP. The lower one looks like watercolor, but the top one grabbed my attention along with the doily. Great job! Enjoy your day!
