More Color Combinations with Peaceful Poppies

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. Since the beautiful flower-themed Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper debuted with Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog, I have shared several projects that showcase different pages in this pack of papers. I’m excited to share a bit more about this pack of papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper:

Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up! 151324While floral prints are the standout in this pack of papers, there are some gorgeous pages in blue, green, purple and red that can be used with projects that do not showcase flowers. That makes this pack of paper so versatile! This pack of papers includes Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.

Inspiration

I’ve used the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Papers several times in the short time it’s been available to us – how could I not?! Here are some of my projects with the pages from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):

Dressed to Impress Bundle, Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian King So Sentimental Bundle, Peaceful Poppies Deisgner Series Paper, Stone 3D Embossing Folder, Stampin Up!, Brian King, thank you note Little Ladybug, Country Home, Stampin Up!, Brian King

There are a lot of flowers in these pages and on these cards. They can be really fun to work with – especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the paper.  Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper:

Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Old Olive Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, Poppy Parade Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

I hope you find this helpful, I and I hope some of these combinations inspire you.  Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference. To follow me on Pinterest, please click here: follow me on Pinterest.
