Two pinks and two aquas – those are the colors we’re playing with at the Fab Friday challenge that kicks off today. Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron are a beautiful mix that immediately made me think of a sweet flower arrangement. I played with several elements before designing this sweet card:
And here’s the banner for the challenge that inspired my card:
- Peaceful Poppies Bundles. The Peaceful Poppies Suite features two bundles – the Peaceful Moments Bundle and Painted Poppies Bundle. Both are wonderful for very different reasons. Today’s card features elements from both of these bundles. Here’s a look at the gorgeous sentiments and beautiful, layering dies in the Peaceful Moments Bundle:
The sentiment on my card is pulled from the Peaceful Moments Bundle. I also worked one of these dies into my bouquet. Here’s a look at the sweet flowers and versatile dies in the Painted Poppies Bundle:
I used two of the frames from this bundle on today’s card. I cropped the larger frame twice – once with Pretty Peacock cardstock and once with the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I glued the two together to give the Designer Series Paper the support it needs to be popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Parisian Blossoms. Like the Pleasant Poppies The Peaceful Blossoms Suite features two great bundles – While I’ve certainly showcased – the Forever Blossoms Bundle and Parisian Beauty Bundle. While I’ve showcased both of these bundles in projects I’ve shared with you before today, today is the first time I’ve shared a project that features the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper. The champagne foil in this paper gives it such a gorgeous finish (the page I used today does not showcase one of the foil-designed pages). Here’s a look a the designs and colors on the pages of the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper:
- Flower Layers. Some people are so good at building flower arrangements on cards. I’m not one of those people, but I really give it my best shot. I cut a lot of elements and layered them in multiple ways before landing on the layout on my card today. Here’s a closer look:
Here are the papers and dies I used for the various layers in my bouquet:
- Vellum – Poppy Moments Dies
- Mint Macaron – Poppy Moments Dies
- Mint Macaron – Frosted Bouquet Dies
- Whisper White – Frosted Bouquet Dies
- Pretty Peacock – Poppy Moments Dies
- Rococo Rose – Poppy Moments Dies
Bundles: Peaceful Moments Stamp Sets: Peaceful Moments Papers: Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Rococo Rose, Vellum Cardstock, Whisper White Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Poppy Moments Dies, Painted Labels Dies, Frosted Bouquet Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday challenge blog to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian, the first word I said this AM when I saw your card was “WOW!” … how striking! The bouquet ? is so lovely! And what a great color palette ?
Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much, Suzie! That makes me so happy – I am glad you like it. Hope your weekend is spectacular.
Love your arrangement of flowers behind the sentiment Brian. So beautiful! Have a nice weekend.
Thank you, Dawn! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, too!
Layout and color combination are FANTASTIC.
♥ Thanks, Kadie!
The whisper white gives it the look of baby’s breath. I am going to pull out the catalog and look up the frosted bouquet set. Lol one more thing I missed. Love the card.
Thanks, Liz! I’ve used these dies a lot – they are quite versatile – and I think you’ll love them. ♥ The stamp set that coordinates is quite wonderful, too!
Love the mix of papers and your sweet bouquet..perfect with that sentiment!
Thank you so much, Windy! ♥♥♥
This is a beautiful card using the colors of the challenge. Personally, I think you are too hard on yourself about your bouquet. It is lovely with the different colors and elements. Love the layered sentiment. Enjoy your day!
Thank you so much, Hilda! Maybe it’s because I know how many iterations it took me to get here. I’m so glad you like it. Have a wonderful weekend! ♥
I was looking at Rococo Rose CS yesterday and wondering why I have not used it . It is a pretty almost Victorian color and I like your mix of colors with it . A sweet and pretty card !
Thanks so much, Sonny! It’s a rich pink – and I feel the same about it. Was glad to have this challenge to get me to play with the color.
I would have to say you met this challenge and more with today’s gorgeous card Brian! I love the fact that SU is featuring so many sets with dies to match. My favorites are the photopolymer stamp sets with dies. Beautiful card today to say the least. I bet it was fun to piece together – kind of like a puzzle.
Thanks, Grace! I played around with several “looks” before gluing any of it down. With so many shapes in different colors, I wanted to play until I found the balance I wanted. Yes – like a puzzle.
Oh so that’s what this little dies are for. To make a bud. Learned something today. Thanks Brian. Love your card
🙂 Thanks, Lynn! They are teeny-tiny, and the bud is sweet when assembled. ♥
This is beautiful, Brian!! My favorite of all the cards.
Thank you so much, Karleen! ♥
What else to say except “Perfection”~ not just for the interpretation of the color challenge, but for the overall design. Look at you, “collage-ing”; you might find it challenging, but as always your design skill shines through. Beautiful card, my friend, absolutely beautiful.
Thank you so much, Linda! It means a lot to me to hear that. I try – it’s just not in my comfort zone. I’m glad you like it. ♥
Oh just that tiny bit of rose is wonderful! Beautiful card!
🙂 Thank you so much, Linda! ♥
