Positive Thoughts & Nature’s Thoughts Dies

When my club met last month, we had a fun variety of cards to make. One of the cards is features the Positive Thoughts stamp set from the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog and the Nature’s Thoughts Dies from the February-released Product Coordination Release. Here’s the card we made:

  • Positive Thoughts. The Positive Thoughts stamp set was not on my radar at all from the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog until the coordinating dies were released. Only then was I able to see the stamp set for the beauty that it is. Here’s a look at the Positive Thoughts stamp set: Positive Thoughts, Stampin Up! 151490The frame in the Nature’s Thoughts dies cuts out a rectangle with dotted border around the edges. It’s really quite beautiful and gives this card the foundation I needed for the collage of flowers. Here’s a look at the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies: Natures Thoughts, Stampin Up! 153586The stamp set is wonderful, but the dies really add to the versatility and usefulness of the stamp set. That frame! Those cutouts! Those butterflies! I love them all! You can see all of the items offered in the Coordination Product Release that kicked off in February here – all of these products are being sold on a “while supplies last” basis:Stampin Up! Coordination Products stampwithbrian.comThere are some incredible offerings in this two page release. The new items have changed my mind about how much I need some things from Sale-a-Bration and the Mini Catalog. How about you? Incentive to plan ahead? ♥ What fun!
  • Collage. I’m no floral arrangement designer, but the elements on this card came together easily for me, and I am happy with the final result. I inked up this rustic image of leaves with Mossy Meadow ink and stamped them onto Very Vanilla cardstock twice (once with a full concentration of ink and then a second time to give a lighter image). I cropped them with the coordination dies. I cropped a couple of tiny leaves with Mossy Meadow cardstock to peek out from behind the flower – and, of course, that tiny butterfly with Crushed Curry cardstock. Positive Thoughts, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Daisy Lane Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingMy flower was inked with Sahara Sand and then stamped off once before I stamped it onto the Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the Medium Daisy punch. I added a Perennial Essence Floral Center for a little “umph” when I was done. Positive Thoughts, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Daisy Lane Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King
  • Color Combination. I love the mix of neutrals in this card with the pale blue and regal yellow. It’s the mix of Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow and Seaside Spray that I love the most, though. If you love this mix of colors as much as I do, please save this for future reference: Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow

What a pretty card! Kind of like you…this Stamp set did not jump out at me either until the dies came out! Love the way you added the Daisy! It just made the card!!

  3. Your card is OH SO PRETTY. That daisy is GORGEOUS.

  4. I love this beautiful card, Brian. I got the stamp set for the sentiments but adding the dies really makes it a go-to set. Love the floral elements and how easy they are with the dies. Have a super Sunday!

  5. My favorite! You knocked it out of the park with this one!

  6. Love the card..perfect addition of the daisy!

  7. A gorgeous card for us today Brian. I did overlook this set but now that it has dies to match I will have to include it with my next order. I now try to limit my stamp purchases to only those sets with matching dies. I have
rheumatoid arthritis and find that cutting with scissors is no longer an option however using the dies is not a problem. I’m so glad SU makes so many sets with coordinating dies. Thanks for always pointing out sets that I may have overlooked.

  8. Such a handsome card with a smart combination of color! Have my eye on that Subtles embossing folder too. The dotted frame on your mossy meadow piece adds just a bit more dimension to your card. I really like it!

  9. In love with that maidenhair fern, and you have my number by stamping off and using BOTH images. Stamp set and dies on my list. I’d better get my order in!
