It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!
For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are sharing projects we’ve created with alternative shapes and sizes – we aren’t creating the standard-sized cards today. What a fun challenge to play with different shapes and sizes! If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented friend Carolynn Sander.
For my “alternative shapes and sizes” project, I created three simple, tiny birthday cards with the Label Me Lovely Punch and Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. Here’s my project:
To create the base for each of these cards, I folded a piece of cardstock, burnished the crease with my bone folder and ran it through my Label Me Lovely punch (new in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2020 Mini Catalog and carrying over into Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog), allowing a small edge of the cardstock crease to stay inside the punch.
Here’s a closer look at the the card I made with two balloons from the Balloon Bouquet punch and a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays:The card is balanced on the straight edge of the punch. I cropped this card base by positioning the cardstock crease along the straight edge of the punch like this:
Here’s a closer look at the second card that showcases two more stamps from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set, the 1-1/2″ Circle punch, Classic Label Die and Layering Circles Dies:
I stamped “TIME TO CELEBRATE” over and over with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock for a fun background. The card is also balanced on the straight edge of the punch but opens like a book. I cropped this card base by positioning the cardstock crease along the rounded edge of the punch like this:
The third card I made features a card base punched like the first card, three Flirty Flamingo flowers punched with the Medium Daisy Punch and the [retiring] 1″ Circle Punch. And here’s a closer look at the third card I made:
Not only do all three of these cards use the Label Me Lovely Punch to create the base for each card and Itty Bitty Birthdays to share a fun sentiment, but all three cards feature a combination of three sweet colors. If you like this mix of Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo, please save this graphic for future reference:
Here are the products I used to make these cards:
Stamp Sets: Itty Bitty Birthdays Papers: Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo Accessories: Label Me Lovely Punch, Medium Daisy Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, 1-1/2″ Circle Punch, Classic Label Punch, Layering Circles Dies, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
