2020-2022 In Colors for the Candy Hearts Blog Hop

Like many Stampin’ Up! teams leaders, I host a team “blog hop” with my team members. We share our projects so you can hop from blog to blog to take in all the creativity. Today is an exciting time for me – it’s the first time I’m hopping in a blog hop created by one of my team members for her team. What fun!

Candy Hearts Blog Hop - 2020-2022 in colorsWelcome to the Candy Hearts Blog Hop for July! Today we are sharing projects featuring the new 2020-2022 In Colors. After reading my post, I hope you will hop to the next person on the list below. Be sure to hop around to see ALL the great projects the Candy Hearts have created for you.

Heartfelt Thanks with the 2020-2022 In Colors

I couldn’t be happier with Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2022 In Colors. I always love to work with new colors, but I particularly love this new collection. What a wonderful collection of beauties! ♥ Here’s a look at the new colors that will be a part of our color collection for the next two years:

Stampin Up! 2020-2022 In Colors Brian KingThey even look great together! When I needed a bunch of thank you notes for some great friends, I knew I would combine all five of these colors on Whisper White Notecards. I layered 1/8″ strips of the five colors on Thick Whisper White cardstock that I had punched with the heart from the Heart Punch Pack. Once the thin strips were layered on the heart, I snipped along the edges of the heart for a seamless look. Here’s the card I created with the new In Colors:

Stampin Up! 2020-2022 In Colors, Brian KingThe 3-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ panel behind each heart comes from the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers (the pack comes with 4 each of 2 double-sided designs for each of the 5 In Colors for a total of 40 sheets). I love the new patterns on these papers, too! Here’s a look (you can click on the image below if you want a closer look at the designs):

2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 153070I needed a wee-bitty “thank you” sentiment, and I pulled it from the Country Home photopolymer stamp set. This stamp set has been around for a while, but it came in perfect for my simple project. Here’s a closer look at the heart on the front of my card:

Stampin Up! 2020-2022 In Colors, Brian KingCute, right? Because all five colors are represented in the 1/8″ strips on my card, the hearts looked great with backgrounds from all five of the colors. When I make multiples of a card (I don’t often do it), I like to take a shot of them together before I drop them in the mail. Here’s an infinity shot of the cards to show you how the heart looks against the different backgrounds:
