I love a good challenge. As soon as I saw Linda’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to make a long, slender card, I knew I wanted to play along. I also knew I wanted to build a long word with my super-cool Playful Alphabet Dies and accent the word with some fun, new products. Here’s my 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Thankful. I absolutely adore the Playful Alphabet Dies. We’ve has several alphabet dies over the years, but these are the best! They are designed with a great font and the perfect size for cards and scrapbook pages. Some of the letters are even doubled-up to save you a little time. Yay! Here’s a look at the Playful Alphabet Dies:
I cropped the letters on my card with Soft Suede cardstock and then again with the Foam Adhesive Sheets. I peeled back the top layer of the cropped Adhesive Sheet and carefully placed the cardstock letter on top. The Foam Adhesive Sheets are amazing! - Beautiful Autumn. My popped-up sentiment is adorned with leaves and acorns from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and coordinating Autumn Punch Pack. The leaves and acorns build out from the top, left corner and the bottom, right corner. Here’s a closer look:

I showcased one of the sentiments from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set on the project I shared with you yesterday – I hope you’ll check it out if you missed it yesterday. - Fall Color Combination. I love Fall colors – and I really enjoyed playing with the colors on my card today. I incorporate d two In Colors and two neutrals that blended together beautifully. If you like this mix of Bumblebee, Terracotta Tile and Soft Suede, I hope you’ll save this off for future reference:

Here’s another beautiful fall card. I love using adhesive foam sheets. The itty bitty punches for the leaves and acorn make great corner decorations on the card. Enjoy your day!

I absolutely LOVE the way you used the foam sheets under the letters. Also, I’d love to make one of these slim cards. I take it I cut the cardstock at 8-1/2″ X 7″ ? This bundle is a MUST HAVE for fall & Thanksgiving cards for sure. Love it.

Love love love this slimline card, Brian! Your kerning on the Thankful is so perfect; it looks like a professional type set! The playful alphabet set is so awesome; it’s a staple in my stash. You really have inspired me on what I can do for my cards this year: I will be making a Thanksgiving card for the first time. Figured now more than ever we should express gratitude for what we have.
