Yesterday I shared four note cards I made with three products that will be in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog – the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Dragonfly Garden stamp set and Enjoy the Moment stamp set. Today I’m going to share a couple more thoughts about these projects and some comparisons you might not have noticed in yesterday’s post. First, let’s take another look at the four cards I shared yesterday:
In yesterday’s post, I shared the four colors that are represented on these monochromatic cards. I also shared the stamp sets for each of these sentiments and the dies I used to line the coordinating envelopes for each of these cards. If you missed that post, you can see it here.
Today I want to share a couple of other fun facts about these cards – just a little chat-em-up about the layouts, the stitched dies and enamel dots on these projects. What fun!
The Layouts
There are two simple layouts on these four note cards, but the pieces are very similar.
The Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow cards feature a 3″ x 4-3/4″ base of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and another panel with a 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The smaller panel is centered over the larger one. I created one note card in portrait and one note card in landscape for this design. Here’s a look at these cards together:
The Blackberry Bliss and Bumblebee cards feature a 3″ x 4-3/4″ base of Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (similar to the ones above). The additional piece on these cards is 2-1/4″ (also like the ones above), but the length is 3-1/2″ to build a band. Like the note cards above, I created one note card in portrait and one note card in landscape for the design. Here’s a look at these cards together:
The Stitched Dies
I had fun playing with the new sentiments and finding the right sentiment for each card from the two new stamp sets. What’s more fun than that? Finding the right stitched shape to crop each one with. Here are the stitched dies I used for each of the projects:
For the Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow cards, I cropped the sentiments with the Stitched Shapes Dies (I used an oval and a circle). I love these dies and use them ALL THE TIME – if you don’t have them, please add them to your wish list right away. Here’s a look at these dies:
For the Blackberry Bliss card, I cropped the sentiment with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies – I love these, too. Here’s a look at these stitched dies:
For the Bumblebee card, I cropped the sentiment with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. This is going to sound like a broken record, I know, but I love these dies. Here’s a look at these wonderful stitched dies:
The Enamel Dots
Each of the four cards features a trio of color-coordinated enamel dots. I don’t often use a lot of embellishments on my simple cards, so this was a special occasion. Here’s a look at the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots I used on these cards:
These enamel dots were an easy choice to accent my cards since Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight are right there! Win!
To accent my Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow cards with similar enamel dots, I simply colored three Magenta Madness enamel dots with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend and colored three Just Jade enamel dots with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend. Perfection!
Here’s a look at the products I used on these projects:
Stamp Sets: Dragonfly Garden, Enjoy the Moment Papers: Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes, Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow Inks: Versamark, Stampin’ Blends (Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow) Accessories: White Stampin Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, Stitched Shapes Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you like these note cards as much as I enjoyed making them and sharing them. I can’t wait to make more with these papers and beautiful stamp sets. More to come!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Yay! How fun that you can spend some time stamping this weekend – I’ll be doing a bit of that myself. Thank you so much for your comments, Linda! I really appreciate them and appreciate you.
Love these layouts and they really spotlight the beauty of label and nesting dies!
Thanks, Mary! Sometimes simple can be really powerful. I really enjoyed making these. ♥
Good morning, Brian!
I’m glad you wrote this post today … my stash of cards like these has dwindled. I need to build it up and these would be perfect! Great colors for fall as well. These dies sets really are a great addition to one’s cardmaking “tools”. Have a great weekend! And thanks, again.
Suzie
Thank you so much, Suzie! Making these four cards has also inspired me to rethink how I’m using my note cards – need to do more with them. Hope your weekend is great, too! ♥
Thanks, Brian, for all the tips on making these pretty notecards. I love the size of these notecards for a short note and sweet sentiments like yours. Enjoy your day!
I’m always happy to share, Hilda – especially with sweet people like you. I always love your comments – thanks! ♥
I love the idea of these smaller notecards, to be able to get 2 panels from the 6×6 sheets! Ohhhh, you gave me a great idea, will share if it works.
