It’s a very special day today! It was on this day many, many years ago that the woman, who would become famous for giving birth to me, was born. 🙂 If you follow me, then you already know what a wonderful relationship Mom and I have. You also know that I enjoy celebrating her birthday with a special card I’ve designed just for her – and she loves to read your birthday wishes. Things got a little tricky this year…after I have been making cards that feature blue flowers for years and years, Mom encouraged me to create a card with pink flowers. Yes, she loves blues flowers, but she assured me she also loves pink flowers and yellow flowers and orange flowers. Here’s the card I made – not a stitch of blue to be seen:
Tips, Tricks and Reminders
- Rococo Rose. It happens with the release of every catalog – a color I don’t use a lot is featured in a lot of suites, papers and embellishments that inspires me to really start using that color. For the new catalogs released in January 2021, that color is Rococo Rose. If you often reach of Rococo Rose already, then there are a lot of great products that coordinate with your beloved, warm pink. If you don’t already use it a lot, then you’re about to. ♥ My Rococo-Rose-rich birthday card features two panels of Sale-a-Bration papers that are offerings in this year’s Sale-a-Bration – Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper and Oh So Ombre 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Both papers feature patterns with Rococo Rose – and both packs can be picked for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Yay! - Stitched Flowers. Unless you’ve carefully studied the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog, you might have missed the spectacular In Bloom Bundle. Not only are there some great sentiments and flower builder shapes in the stamp set, but the collection of stitched dies that coordinate are incredible! Here’s a look at the In Bloom Bundle:
I ran these little flower dies through my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to crop out the Rococo Rose flowers and Basic White centers. Here’s a closer look at these flowers: 
- Art Gallery. While there are some gorgeous flowers in the Art Gallery Bundle, I only reached for this bundle to create the super-sweet birthday sentiment for Mom’s card. I love the clean font of the “Happy Birthday” and the fun shape of the cutout around it. This is such a versatile set that I’m planning to use A LOT. Here’s a closer look at the Art Gallery Bundle:

Brian – this card is absolutely BREATHTAKING! I have Rococo Rose but I don’t think I’ve ever used it. The stitched flowers are beautiful. I thought I had enough floral stamps and die but I guess one or two more sets wouldn’t hurt right?
