Congratulations with Fine Art Floral

I love to celebrate special people who do special things, and I love that making cards allows me create the perfect card for the person I want to celebrate. When my friend decided to retire from her job, I reached for Art Gallery and the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper to make this multi-layered card especially for her:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Fine Art Floral. How gorgeous is the panel of Fine Art Floral Designer Series at the center of this card?! I love the mix of Pretty Peacock and Bumblebee against that Smoky Slate backdrop. It’s the vivid texture in the paper, though, that really makes this panel so special. The recipient might be coerced into thinking she’s looking at a page of flowers I hand-painted with oils. Here’s a look at the gorgeous colors and patterns in the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper:Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 154558If you’d like to flip through all of the pages in this pack of papers and get a closer look at each design, CLICK HERE.
  • Art Gallery & Painted Texture. The “congratulations” sentiment on this card is stamped with the Art Gallery stamp set and cropped with the Floral Gallery Dies. Before I glued the panel of Fine Art Floral Designer to the Thick Basic White base below it, I cut a thin strip out of the paper, giving enough space for the sentiment. I used my Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Smoky Slate panel and the piece of Fine Art Floral on the top of the card. • Color Combination. I adore this colors in this gorgeous panel of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper – even with the pinks and oranges in this page of paper, it’s the blues and yellows that really stand out to me. It helps, too, that I love Pretty Peacock. If you love this mix of Smoky Slate, Bumblebee and Pretty Peacock as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:  Stampin Up! 4. Your friend is indeed, very lucky to receive such a gorgeous card, Brian, not only the layers are impeccably done as always, but the DSP you chose looks so real, you can almost feel the texture of those brush strokes.
