I love to stamp on Designer Series Papers to create my own designs. While I was stamping on a gorgeous panel of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper to build the card I am sharing with you today, I tried different colors and intensities of color on different panels of this paper. Then came the hard part – how ever would I decide which panel to use? The softer panel stamped with Seaside Spray, the medium-toned panel stamped with Misty Moonlight or the darker panel stamped with Night of Navy. I decided to showcase them all! Here’s my card:
And here’s the banner for the FabFriday sketch challenge that inspired my card:
- Stamping on Designer Series Paper. The three-paneled backdrop on my card started with three 3-3/4″ x 5″ pieces of a watercolored blue page from the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper. With all the gorgeous, watercolored images on this page of paper, most of my “work” was done for me, making is SO easy to build a beautiful card. Here’s a look at the beautiful colors and patterns in the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper:
I stamped the large medallion from the Treasured Medallion stamp set on each of the patterns I was playing with before I decided to showcase all three. Here’s a look at the Treasured Medallion Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog:
Here’s a look at the three panels before I decided to cut them in thirds and showcase all three:
On the first panel, I stamped the medallion in Seaside Spray (I stamped off once to give a lighter intensity of ink) to match the blue in the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper. On the second panel, I stamped the medallion in Misty Moonlight (I also stamped this one off once before stamping on the Designer Series Paper. On the third panel, I stamped the medallion in a full intensity of Night of Navy.
- Congrats. The label that surrounds my sentiment is cropped with the Treasured Tags Pick a Punch that coordinates with the Treasured Medallion stamp set. I used a 1″ strip of Night of Navy cardstock to punch this ornate-edged frame for the sentiment on my card. The punch gives us 6 options for tags with two styles for three widths (1″, 3/4″ and 1/2″). How cool is that?! Here’s a closer look at the left end of the layer:
The bold sentiment on my card is pulled from the oh-my-I-love-this-set You Are Amazing stamp set. Here’s a look at the incredible You are Amazing stamp set:
- Beautiful Blues. My card is filled to the brim with a trio of beautiful blues. While the Seaside Spray backdrop picks up a variety of tones, the stamped medallions give each band its own personality. If you like this mix of “pure blues” (Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy) as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Bundles: Treasured Medallion Stamp Sets: Treasured Medallion, You Are Amazing Papers: Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Thick Basic White Inks: Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy Accessories: Treasured Tags Pick a Punch, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll pop over to the FabFriday site to see the cards by the design team members and to play along with this week’s challenge.
