Good Things Grow with Snailed It

Question: How much space does fungus need to grow?

Answer: As mushroom as it needs.

Now that you have picked yourself up off the ground, I’m excited to share a sweet mushroom-y card I made with three of the products in the retiring Snail Mail Suite from Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. I’ve showcased the snails in this suite, but these mushrooms have been calling me. Here’s my card:

Snailed It, All Squared Away, Stampin Up!, Brian King

I had this card set out last night to assemble. Before I glued everything down, this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge went live – and ALL OF THE PIECES fit with this sketch. With just a little scooching of elements on the card, I was able to fit my project with this week’s Freshly Made Sketches layout. What fun! Here’s the banner for the challenge:

FMS488Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Snailed It! While there is nary a snail on my card, I used one of the images from the Snailed It stamp set, two of the dies from the coordinating Snail Dies and a fun pattern from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper to make my card. All three of these products are retiring on June 30 or when supplies run out. You want this bundle! Because the Snail Dies are marked 50% off during the sale, it’s a better option to buy the stamp set and discounted dies separately (vs. the bundle offered in the catalog). Here’s a look at the Snailed It Build-a-Bundle (enter #154472 and #154327 in the online store to get the best deal):Snailed It Build-a-Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingEven if you don’t want the stamp set (why wouldn’t you?!), the Snail Dies have a large postage square, two hearts, a word bubble, a tiny envelope and three mushrooms that can be used without the stamps. The little stitched rectangle fits inside the Postage Stamp Punch. Here’s a look at the festive patterns and colors in the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper (also retiring):Β  Snail Mail, Stampin Up! 154577
  • All Squared Away. I searched high and low for a sentiment that would pair well with my mushrooms. The All Squared Away stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog, gave me the perfect “good things grow…” sentiment to go with it. Here’s a closer look at my colored mushrooms, the die-cut postage square and the fun sentiment: Snailed It, All Squared Away, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe inside of the card completes the sentiment that was started on the front. “Good things grow…like our friendship.” How sweet is that?! This is one of my favorite bundles in the new catalog – here’s a look at the All Squared Away Bundle: All Squared Away Bundle, Stampin Up! 158382
  • Color Combination. I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Thick Basic White and colored my mushrooms and greenery with Stampin’ Blends.Β  Such fun! I love the fun mix of aqua tones (Pool Party and Bermuda Bay) with the brightness of Granny Apple Green). If you like this mix of Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:Stampin Up!
