Be Dazzled by Painted Christmas

I love gorgeous papers, big sentiments, slanted designs and festive (un-messy) shine. I combined all three of these things into one design for the Christmas card I’m sharing with you today. I hope you love the card as much as I loved making it. Here’s my card:

My card starts with two pieces of the GORGEOUS Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper. I cropped a 5″ x 3-3/4″ panel of the red-tiled pattern and a 5″ x 2-1/2″ panel of the page with pine branches and berries. I cut the top panel at an angel and glued it on top of the red-tiled page. While there’s no Just Jade listed in this paper, some of watercolor shades of Garden Green appear light and bright like Just Jade, making it a perfect accent for this panel. I added a 1″ band of Real Red cardstock across the angle I had cut with the Designer Series Papers and trimmed along the side of the focal panel. Using the ever-useful Playful Alphabet Dies, I cropped the five letters from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, one of the products you can choose for free during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order. I also cropped these five letters from Foam Adhesive Sheets and mounted the shiny letters on top of the foam cutouts. Because the strip is 1″ (and the letters are 3/4″ tall), it was easy to line up the letters along the Real Red strip. Here’s a closer look at the shiny letters on the front of my card:

The champagne shine adds something very merry, indeed, to this card. After working with this Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, it’s now on my list – I definitely plan to earn more during the coming month-and-a-half. Yay!
