Season’s Greetings with Merriest Moments

The Christmas card I shared with you last night featured bold pops of pink (you can see that card here). Today’s card, also a Christmas card, showcases a warmer, more traditional combination of colors. AND today’s card features MORE popped up layers. I had so much fun building this card, and I hope you love it as much as I do. Here’s my card:

Merriest Moments Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardI shared a project with the Merriest Moments Bundle earlier this week (you can see that card here). Today is another look at elements from that bundle. The poinsettia layers and sentiment are pulled from the Merriest Moments stamp set and cropped with the coordinating dies. Such fun! Here’s a look at the Merriest Moments Bundle, which includes a photopolymer stamp set, a set of dies and a Hybrid Embossing Folder (the dies fit right inside the embossing folder so you can cut and emboss at the same time):

Merriest Moments Bundle, Stampin Up! 156783While the frames in this bundle are a focal point of the product offering, you certainly shouldn’t miss the flowers and holly leaves in the set. Here’s a closer look at the poinsettia flower I built for the card I shared with you today:

I love Designer Series Papers SO MUCH, but I also like to build a beautiful pattern with layers of cardstock. The focal panel of this card is a mix of Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobber strips. I added a panel of Shaded Spruce below that and then mounted it all on a beautiful backdrop of Soft Suede. Such warm colors, don’t you think? The colors that create the backdrop for my flower are pulled from the flower itself. How fun is that?! If you love this mix of Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Soft SuedeTo add a little additional luxury to my elegant Christmas card, I embossed a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Soft Suede on the background of my card. I used the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder to create this additional texture. I love this embossing folder so much – it’s versatile and … tasteful. See what I did there? Here’s a look at this must-have, multi-purpose embossing folder:

  5. I love that you think out of the box with your layering. I seem to always stay with a few layers within layers where as you seem to find ways to make your layering shine in somewhat unorthodox ways. I just love how you come up with these designs.
