Trick-or-Treat in Black-and-White

I love a monochromatic card – it’s doubly wonderful when four black-and-white patterns can come together to build a fun, layered card for a fun event. Halloween is one week away – are you ready? This might be your last chance to get some cards in the mail, but you still have plenty of time for hand-delivered cards and hand-created treat packages. What fun! I’ve created and all black-and-white card to share with you today. Here’s my card:

My card features TWO papers – Basic Black cardstock and black-and-white pages from the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. While there are some great, colorful patterns in this pack of papers, the backside of each page features a black-and-white pattern. The sentiment on my card is one I’ve used a lot this year – I love the crisp, hand-written look of this stamp. I also love so many of the other stamps in this set. I heat-embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Basic Black cardstock and then cropped it with a Layering Circles Die. Here’s a closer look:
