Pretty Packages and Tags for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.

11-2021 IRBH Pretty Packages & TagsWelcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature pretty packages and beautiful tags to inspire your holiday gift-giving. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Christmas Cheer Throughout the Year

Tags can be such an amazing addition to a gift, making the gift even more special – especially when the recipient knows you created the tag just for them. I’m excited to share an elegant Christmas tag I made with some of my favorite Stampin’ Up! products – I pulled some elements from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog and some from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Here’s the tag I created:

Time of Giving, Christmas Season Bundle, Ornate Layers Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, handmade Christmas tag

The base of this tag is built with three dies from the Ornate Layers Dies that stack perfectly for an incredibly gorgeous tag (the Cherry Cobbler base, the Garden Green scalloped layer and the Very Vanilla rectangle) – you can see the three dies I used a the base of the picture below. I added a thin border of Cherry Cobbler around the Very Vanilla panel for added color. Here’s a look at the Ornate Layers Dies:

Ornate Layers Dies, Stampin Up! 152726Along with other dies from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog, the Ornate Layers Dies are ON SALE during Stampin’ Up!’s Seasonal Sale, which ends tomorrow. A 20% discount on dies is an incredible deal, so please be sure to check out the sale. ♥

While the die-cut layers are essential to my tag, the stamped elements are very important, too. The beautiful sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink with the Time of Giving stamp set. The Time of Giving Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, features incredible dies for building tags, but you should pass over the sentiments and images in the coordinating stamp set. Here’s a look at this must-have bundle:

Time of Giving Bundle, Stampin Up! 156762The holly and berries on my tag are stamped with the Christmas Season stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Seasonal Labels Dies. These two are offered as a bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Here’s a closer look at the elements on the tag:

Time of Giving, Christmas Season Bundle, Ornate Layers Dies, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, handmade Christmas tagYou might have noticed that I snipped off one of the four berries after they were stamped and cropped? I thought the cluster of three berries looked better on my tag, so … snip! Here’s a look at this bundle:

Christmas Season Bundle, Stampin Up! 156801I also used one of the teeny-tiny dies from the Seasonal Label Dies (above) to add a ribbon hole for my tag. That little hole allowed me to run through a piece of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2″ Metallic Ribbon that I tied off with a piece of linen thread:

    Brian,
You make such amazing tags. This one is a beautiful example … using the Ornate Labels Dies. By using dies like these, you can design an easy card which you can then mass produce for any holiday or occasion.

    • Thank you so much, Suzie! This tag is DEFINITELY more sophisticated and layered than the tags I usually make, but I really had fun with it. So glad you like it. ♥
