3 Christmas Tags – 1 Ribbon Pack

Disclaimer from the start – I get a little nerdy about this stuff sometimes. I can’t wait to share the projects I have made for you today because (1) they are all cute (2) they are all easy to create and (3) all three Christmas tags feature a ribbon pack that wasn’t designed for the Christmas holidays. It’s possible I’m more excited about the third reason than anyone reading this right now, but I won’t let that get me down. ♥ Here are three super-fun Christmas tags:

I’m going to give you a closer look at each of the tags, but first … do you know what pack of ribbons coordinate so well with these Christmas tags? Please be sure you are seated when I tell you this (again, I’m really nerdy about this)…the Flowers for Every Seasons Ribbon Combo Pack. Here’s a look at this Spring-themed pack of ribbons that debuted in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog (and is still available in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog):

The ribbon pack includes three ribbons that were PERFECT for my Christmas tags – (1) Just Jade 3/8″ Gingham Ribbon, (2) Whisper White 1/2″ Faux Linen Ribbon and (3) Misty Moonlight/silver 1/16″ Baker’s Twine. The pack comes with 10 yards of the twine and 5 yards each of the other two ribbons. Score!

Here’s a closer look at the three tags I made (along with a couple of comments about each):

I cropped the Misty Moonlight ornament base and the Basic White snowflake ornament with the Delicate Baubles Dies. I stamped the sentiment (from the Bright Baubles stamp set with Misty Moonlight ink on Pool Party cardstock and snipped out the elements with Paper Snips. I popped up the sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. So easy!

I punched a Basic White circle, added “TO:  FROM:” with Misty Moonlight and glued it to the back of the ornament tag. The silver elements in the Misty Moonlight/silver 1/16″ Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack added a little sparkle to the tag.

I cropped THREE tags from the Tailor Made Tags Dies to create this sweet tag: one in Just Jade, one in Basic White, and one in Poppy Parade. Before running the Poppy Parade panel through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, though, I layered in a die from the Giving Gifts Dies (it set right inside the Tailor Made Tags Die for a quick-and-easy cut).

I stamped “Ho Ho Ho” from the Perfectly Plaid  stamp set and glued the Poppy Parade tag to the Basic White tag. Lining up all the ribbon holds, I offset the Just Jade tag a bit and glued it to the other two tags.

I pulled the Just Jade 3/8″ Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack through the ribbon holes and tied it off (with a tiny bow) with Basic White Baker’s Twine.

Instead of layering this snowflake die (also from the Giving Gifts Dies) with a Tailor Made Tags Die, I layered it inside a Stitched Rectangles Die. I popped that up on a Night of Navy panel (also cropped with the Stitched Rectangles Dies) and framed that with a thin frame of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

Before popping up the Thick Basic White panel, I cropped a ribbon pull (from the Seasonal Labels Dies) through both bottom layers and tied my Whisper White 1/2″ Faux Linen Ribbon through.

I stamped the “Magic is in the air” sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set with Night of Navy on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and cropped it with the Seasonal Labels Dies. I added three silver Metallic Pearls to the centers of the three snowflakes on my tag.
