More Color Combinations with Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. Since the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper first debuted in Stampin’ Up!’s July – December 2021 Mini Catalog, I have reached for it often. The sweet colors and festive patterns lend themselves to sweet Christmas projects with non-traditional colors, and many of the designs work outside of Christmas, too! This is a versatile pack of papers that will come in handy all year. I’m excited to share a bit more about this pack of papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper:

Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 156329 How beautiful are these soft patterns with these gorgeous colors?! The pack includes Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow and Polished Pink. I love this sweet mix of colors!

Inspiration

I have really enjoyed working with these colors and designs. I love the colors and patterns – a great mix for great papers – and have several ideas to use some of the other pages. Here are some of my projects with the pages from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):

There are some really great prints in this pack of papers – some are subtle, and others are quite bold. These pages can be really fun to work with – especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the paper.  Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. You might not use all of these color combinations for Christmas projects, but I hope some of these combinations inspire your creations.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper – such a great variety of colors in this pack of papers:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Misty Moonlight Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, Polished PinkStampin Up! Color Inspiration - Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, Mossy Meadow

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Brushing Bride, So Saffron, Mint Macaron Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pumpkin Pie, Polished Pink, Misty Moonlight Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

I hope you find this helpful, I and I hope some of these combinations inspire you.  Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference.
