A Little Christmas Punch

I love my Stampin’ Up! punches – they come in handy when I need to crop out a quick sentiment, image or shape. Never did I imagine I would use FOUR Stampin’ Up! punches to create a fun Christmas card – until I was half-way done with making the one I’m sharing with you today. Here’s a sweet Christmas card that features four great punches:

Christmas Card with four Stampin Up! punches, Brian KingIt’s a simple card (I know), but there are still so many things I want to tell you about it. For starters, let’s look at the four punches I used to create this simple collage – Snowman Builder Punch, Heart Punch Pack, Pine Tree Punch and Deer Builder Punch. I’ll share a link to all of these punches at the end of this post, but here’s a look at the four punches I used:

4 Great Stampin Up! Punches, Brian KingI didn’t add eyes to my snowman or buttons to his coat. I didn’t add a nose to my deer or a trunk to my tree. I wanted each of the cutouts to serve as a symbol for the four Christmas themes, so I didn’t worry about faces and other details on the symbols.

Christmas Card with four Stampin Up! punches, Brian KingI adore the pink (Polished Pink) and green (Just Jade) at the center for the four cutouts at the center of my card, so I repeated these colors for the card base and the strip that anchors my focal panel. I also book-ended the colorful images in the center with neutral tones (white and brown) on the ends – I used both Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso for both the snowman and the deer.

One blue, one green, one red – it always works. If you like the mix of Pool Party, Just Jade and Polished Pink as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
