Today I want to share a congratulations card I recently received from a friend in Stampin’ Up!’s home office. While many people have likely received this same card, I couldn’t help but to immediately dissect the elements and layout of the card. I also knew I wanted to share it with you. It’s a sweet card, and I hope you like it as much as I do. Here’s the card I received:
Cute, right?! Today I want to talk to you about some of the products used, elements showcased and colors splashed on this cute card. I was inspired by this simple layout, so tomorrow I’m going to share a card that I made after studying this one.
Let’s start with the stamps used to build this card – two sets I wouldn’t expect to see on such a Spring-like, floral card. The flowers are stamped with Calypso Coral and some are cropped with coordinating dies…but what Spring stamp set did the creator use to make these flowers? Well…they are from the Season’s Blessings stamp set (in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog). What fun! Here’s a look at the Season’s Blessings Bundle, which includes the Season’s Blessings photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Basket Dies:
I love how they selectively popped up some of the flowers. Here’s a closer look:
The sentiment on the card is also a surprise for such a beautiful card – it’s pulled from the From All of Us stamp set, a fun, whimsical set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. The sweet sentiment works well with the beautiful flowers. Here’s a look at this fun set:
The panel of flowers is accented by two panels of Pool Party patterned paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The panels add a sweet element without taking away from the floral pattern at the heart of the card. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Bundles: Season’s Blessings Stamp Sets: Season’s Blessings, From All of Us Papers: Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (Pool Party), Pool Party, Basic White, Thick Basic White Inks: Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Misty Moonlight Accessories: Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Seasonal Basket Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I hope you’ll come back tomorrow – I’m going to share a card I made that was inspired by this one, along with some measurements that will help you to make a similar card.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian
