More Color Combinations with Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. Since the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper first debuted in Stampin’ Up!’s January – February 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure, I have reached for it often. The rich colors and flower-filled patterns lend themselves to beautiful projects with some beautiful flowers. Many of the pages are great for non-floral projects, too! This is a versatile pack of papers that will come in handy all year. I’m excited to share a bit more about this pack of papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper:

Inspiration

I have really enjoyed working with these colors and designs. I love the colors and patterns – a great mix for great papers – and have several ideas to use some of the other pages. Here are some of my projects with the pages from the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):

Daffodil Afternon Designer Series Paper, Amazing Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian King Daffodil Daydream Bundle, Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King Flowering Rain Boots, Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThere are some really great prints in this pack of papers – some are subtle, and others are quite bold. These pages can be really fun to work with – especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the paper.  Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper – such a great variety of colors in this pack of papers:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Flirty Flamingo

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade, Basic Black Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, Early Espresso

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.
