Lots of Love with Brushed Shapes

Love is a pretty cool thing – it can be romantic, friendly or supportive. We tend to associate hearts with Valentine’s Day, but they can be a perfect shape for cards throughout the year. Hearts can be used on “happy for you” cards or “thinking about you” cards or even “thank you” cards. There’s a really fun heart (and some other shapes) in one of the stand-alone die sets in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. That heart inspired today’s card:

Brushed Shapes Dies, Celebrating You, Stampin Up!, Brian KingLet’s start by taking a look at the Brushed Shapes Dies. There are some really fun shapes in this set of dies – three hearts, some circles and some squiggles. Such fun! Here’s a look at the images in this stand-alone set of dies:

Brushed Shapes Dies, Celebrating You, Stampin Up!, Brian KingAs with last year’s Annual Catalog, this year’s book features some new sets of dies that aren’t tied to a bundle – each set of dies is featured in various projects throughout the catalog, but the images of these stand-alone dies are only shown between pages 169 and 175. As you work up your next order, I hope you’ll carefully reference those pages. To make it easier for you, here’s a look at these stand-alone dies (you can click on the images to see these products in my online store):

There’s a subtle sentiment on my card – did you see it in the original picture above? I’m confident you saw the heart and squiggle, but did you see the sentiment? I stamped “Lots of Love” over and over on the plaid pattern with Fresh Freesia ink. Here’s a closer look:

The sentiment is pulled from the Celebrating You stamp set, a sentiment-only set that was first introduced in Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2022 Mini Catalog and has carried over into Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. There are so many great sentiments in this set – here’s a look:

Celebrating You, Stampin Up! 158028 I love the new patterns of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers – here’s a look at the 2021-2023 In Colors 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers, including Fresh Freesia used on today’s card:

2021-2023 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 159254I love the mix of rich red and soft purple – there’s something about it that should work, but it does. It’s sweet, right?! If you like this mix of Basic White, Fresh Freesia and Cherry Cobbler as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
