Hip Hip Hooray with Two Celebratory Stamp Sets

When my nephew graduated from high school last week, I made a simple card to recognize his important milestone. I immediately knew I would make a card with the big, bold “Hooray!” from the new Big Hooray stamp set, but I wasn’t sure how I would showcase it. With another stamp set and a simple mix of blues, I made this card for Marshall:

The sentiment on my card mixes sentiments from two bold stamp set. The “HOORAY!” is a modern, fun sentiment from Big Hooray. While it fits well with the “BIG” in the stamp set, I pulled “HIP HIP” from the Good Feelings stamp set. What a great combination! Here’s a look at the Big Hooray stamp set:

These two, new stamp sets have a similar feel but work well together, too. I’m already planning ways to incorporate the other sentiments in these sets into future projects!

I pulled two of the patterns from the new 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers – I used Night of Navy dots (that really give the feeling of confetti) and Coastal Cabana stripes (that give the feeling of stripes). 🙂 Together, they helped me to build simple pattern for this big, bold sentiment!
