Sometimes it’s just fun to play. I wanted to play with some new products, so I sat down and made a card. I didn’t immediately need the thank you card I’m sharing with you today, but I’m certain I’ll find a way to use it. Here’s the card I made:
The elements of this card came together pretty quickly and with so many new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog – the Lovely in Linen Designer Series Paper, the Lovely Layers 3-3/4″ x 5″ Vellum, the Fabulous Frames Dies and the Simply Succulents sentiment on a Stylish Shapes Die.That’s a lot, huh?

The printed vellum on the focal panel of my card is from the Lovely Layers 3-3/4″ x 5″ Vellum pack, new in the 2022 Annual Catalog. Each pack includes 60 sheets – 5 each of 4 printed designs and 40 plain vellum sheets. Such fun! Here’s a look at the designs in the pack:
I trimmed my vellum piece to 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and mounted it on a 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock, adding glue to the corners and in the center where the sentiment would be placed. I knew I’d be adding these corner pieces, so I could glue these corners down. Yay! Here’s a look at the Fabulous Frames Dies:
The sentiment on my card is stamped with Versamark ink and sprinkled with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I heat embossed it with my Heat Tool and cropped it with a Stylish Shapes circle die. The sentiment from Simply Succulents is one I’ve used many times over the years – I love the saying, and I love the style of it. It was perfect for the natural feel of the card I created.
