A Sneak Peek at Leaves of Holly

There’s something so special heartwarming about green holly and red poinsettias. These images and colors take us right to a special time and the special places we love to be during the holidays. The Boughs of Holly Suite, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, offer an amazing variety of holly leaves, holly berries and beautiful red poinsettias. There are also some gorgeous sentiments you’ll want to have on hand for the holidays. It’s the first suite I reached for when my pre-order arrived. Here’s my card:

Here’s a sneak peek a the Leaves of Holly Bundle, which includes the Leaves of Holly photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Holly Berry Dies. Click on the image below for a closer look at these images:

I chose to play with the gorgeous frame in the set of dies. While the thin opening on the inside of the frame and behind the leaves don’t need to be filled in, I added white cardstock to make them crisp and clean on my card. I cropped the frame with white cardstock, kept the thin white border and added that back the the Evening Evergreen frame. I cropped the background of the leaves (the first image in the dies above) and glued that behind the leaves on the frame.

I couldn’t help but to cut into the gorgeous Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to create a background for my frame. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper:

I used the second page on the bottom row to build a backdrop for my card (the third and fourth patterns shown are front-and-back of the same page).

To further accent the thin, white border and thin, green border on my die-cut frame, I bordered the Designer Series Paper panel with Basic White and Evening Evergreen. I popped those up on a Real Red background.
