I love when a simple card looks really complicated. The card I’m sharing with you today combines two products you may have missed in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. If you did, you’ll certainly want to check them out. We don’t get a lot of snow in Atlanta (we often experience the unbearable threat of snow, and it shuts the city down when we do). Still, I dream of snowy Christmases, cold Winters and winter wonderlands. Here’s my card for today:
I’m loving the sweet patterns in Stampin’ Up!’s Color Collection 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers – some of the patterns in the Annual Catalog are bold (plaids and flowers), and others are subtle (stripes and dots). I knew this Balmy Blue, striped paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers would provide a beautiful backdrop for the intricate, beautiful image from the Snow Crystal stamp, a single-image stamp found on page 38 of Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. Here’s a look at this gorgeous image:
I stamped the snow crystal with Versamark in on the Balmy Blue paper and sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. As I heated it with my Heat Tool, the crystals really came to life. Heat embossing can be such fun! This crystal is extra sparkly since I replaced my last white powder with a new bottle. ♥
I had SO MANY options for the sentiment on my card – I wanted something snowy and wintry, and I wanted something that wouldn’t completely cover up the image from the Snow Crystal. I went back and forth with several options before remembering my Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack! While the pack includes some festive cards for memory-keeping and card-making, there are also some other elements that are really fun. Here’s a look at the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack:
This pack includes 54 double-sided cards, 2 sheets of stickers, 4 acetate overlays and 2 laser-cut sheets with stars and holiday-themed words. Included in the set of words are: Happy Holidays, holly jolly, winter wonderland, peace, Merry Christmas, Celebrate, hohoho, Santa, noel, joy and Snow. The laser-cut sheets are (in my estimation) somewhere between wood and cork.
I colored the letters with my Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend marker and carefully glued them down with tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Stamp Sets: Snow Crystal Papers: Subtles 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (Balmy Blue), Night of Navy, Thick Basic White Inks: Versamark, Stampin’ Blends (Night of Navy) Accessories: Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Dimensionals
