Boo! with the Scary Cute Bundle

When I sat down to play with the Scary Cute Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, I had a clear idea of what I’d make. As I played and cut through lots of papers, though, my card transformed into something new and fun. I combined elements of the Scary Fun Bundle with the Celebrate Everything Host Designer Series Papers to make this noticeably askew card:

The focal image on this card is a collection of die cuts in the Scary Silhouettes Dies, part of the Scary Cute Bundle. Such a fun collection of festive images, fun sentiments and all the spookiness you need on October 31. Here’s a look at this wonderful, new bundle:

Please take a look at the largest die images above (lets call them the “trees die” on the left and “frame die” on the right). The “frame die” cuts out a frame that’s the base of my central image. The “trees die” crops out the center piece with the trees but doesn’t cut around the frame. The “trees die,” though, can layer inside the “frame die”. Nice! I ran the “frame die” through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with Basic Gray cardstock. I then layered the “trees die” inside the “frame die” and ran that through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with Basic Black cardstock. Perfect layering, right?!

The plaid background on my card and starry band are pulled from the Celebrate Everything Host Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. I LOVE THESE HOST PAPER OPTIONS! While combinations of orange and black are traditional colors for Halloween, I really love to incorporate other colors – yellow, purple, green. If you like this mix of Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
