Halloween Happiness with Stampin’ Up!’s Stars Treat Bags

Today I’m excited to share a sweet project that pulls elements from the Halloween card I shared last week (see it here) and the Christmas cards I shared yesterday (see them here). The elements? A spooky hat and peekaboo stars. Here’s a fun gift bag I made to share with you today:

I don’t like scary Halloween, so I paired this witch’s hat with bright colors like Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. It makes this gift bag happy. The witch’s hat is found in the Bewitching Hat Bundle – I stamped the hat with Starry Sky ink and cropped it with the Witch Hat Builder Punch. Here’s a look at this super-fun stamp/punch bundle:

If you weren’t looking for the adorable Stars Treat Bags in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, you’d certainly miss them. They are showcased on page 35 on the mini catalog and paired with Christmas products. I think they are just as perfect for Halloween, New Year’s or birthday celebrations. Each order contains 10 bags – they are already put together and sturdy for a variety of treats. Here’s a look at the Stars Treat Bags:

I added a 3-1/2″ x 5″ panel of Daffodil Delight to the back, inside of the bag so the starts would shine through once goodies are removed from the bag.

I layered my Starry Sky witch’s hat on a Daffodil Delight circle (cropped with the Stylish Shapes Dies) and a nest of the gorgeous Starry Sky 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon. I tucked a little happy sentiment from the Scary Cute stamp set and cropped with one of the coordinating dies. It’s a fun, little collection, isn’t it?

I made 125 of these treat bags so I’m ready for the trick-or-treaters who will certainly come by my house on October 31. That’s a lie – if you know me, then you know we’ve not had a single trick-or-treater in 11 years. That said, if I go to a party or do anything for work, I’ll certainly make these bags (certainly not 125) for sweet treats.
