Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Scottie

I’m excited to share a simple, 4-1/4″ square card that features Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Scottie Bundle – such a great stamp/punch bundle featured in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. The adorable puppy is made more festive with a green bow and two Designer Series Papers that beautifully come together around a large, stylish circle. Here’s my card:

I don’t have any pets, but this side-eyeing Scottish Terrier is absolutely adorable. Here’s a look at the Christmas Scottie Bundle, which includes the Christmas Scottie photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Scottie Dog Punch:

While the terrier is the heart of this card – the element of the card that [maybe] pulled an “awwww” from your lips – I pulled from two Designer Series Papers to support the adorable pup. One of the pages is from a pack of papers designed for Fall, and the other is from a pack of papers designed for Christmas.

Here’s a look at the black-and-white checked paper that gives a plaid backdrop (it’s the second pattern on the bottom row) for the sweet dog:

And here’s a look at the deep red, polka-dotted paper I used on the strip behind the puppy (I used the fourth pattern on the bottom row):

With deep red (Cherry Cobbler) and deep green (Shaded Spruce) behind my terrier, I adorned him with a light green bow – I simply stamped off the Shaded Spruce bow once before stamping it again and punching it out.

This stamped-off bow adds a light accent to an (otherwise) dark card. I love this mix of Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Basic Black (the black is an unexpected friend on this Christmas card). If you like this combination as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
