When Emma and I set out to design the projects for our latest kit using the Texture Chic Memories & More Cards, I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy working with the cards. Turns out, they were super-fun to play with, and I’m happy with the projects we created. Those projects inspired me to play with the Santa Express Memories & More Cards I picked up earlier this year – such fun! Here’s the card I made with a mix of Memories & More Cards and Designer Series Papers:
My card features four elements from the Santa Express Memories & More Cards – let’s take a look a the cards, and then I’ll walk you through the elements from the pack. Here’s a look at the Santa Express Memories & More Cards, which includes 54 cards (6 each of 6 designs in 3″ x 4″ cards and 6 each of 3 designs in 4″ x 6″ cards), 2 sticker sheets, 4 acetate overlays and 2 laser-cut sheets:
The Poppy Parade striped panel on the background of this card is pulled from one of the large cards in the kit. I also snipped Santa Clause from one of the small cards (you can see that one in the image above). My card features two stickers – the holly I added to Santa’s hat and the fun sentiment.
My original design included the festive background of “Ho Ho Ho”s in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper (it’s the fourth design in the image below):
The pattern in that page of papers didn’t work well with the striped panel I had already assembled behind Santa, so I went back to the Santa Express papers and pulled this Shaded Spruce panel of snowflakes – perfect!
I love the bright and sweet mix of colors in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper and Santa Express Memories & More Cards. I particularly love the combination of greens and reds showcased on this card. If you like this mix of Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Papers: Santa Express Memories & More Cards, Santa Express Designer Series Paper, Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
