On Thursday, I shared a three-color card that showcases the Framed Florets Bundle (you can see that post here). The card also features a technique where the ink pad is applied directly to cardstock – I call it pad dragging. I reached into my collection of Stampin’ Spots to build a background on today’s card with a similar technique. How fun! Here’s my festive and fun card:
I dragged three Stampin’ Spots across a piece of Basic White cardstock to build a pattern on this card. I used Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce – and couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. While a part of me wanted all of the lines to be perfect and solid, I most love the places where the white cardstock peeks from behind. ♥ How artistic do I look with this top, right corner of the card?!
I just loved building these layers and will definitely be using my Stampin’ Spots more often. While Stampin’ Spots are available with Paper Pumpkin kits and various other Stampin’ Up! kits, these miniature ink squares are also available in a small collection – I’ll share a link to those spots at the base of this post.
The sentiment on this card is stamped with the Framed & Festive stamp set and cropped with the coordinating Framed Florets Dies. These products are part of an early-release and exclusive release that begins on Tuesday. Here’s a look at this sentiment on my card:
Here’s a look at the Framed & Festive stamp set – these sentiments make me so happy. Demonstrators have been able to pre-order them in October so we can share with you to get you excited about the offering that starts on Tuesday.
