Whatever Brings You Happiness…

Like many other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, I’ve been making Christmas cards since July. Even though the Christmas cards I’ve shared on my blog make their way to friends, family, customers and team members, I have to make more cards to fill out my Christmas list. Today I’m sharing the extra card I made this year.

I often make sentimental, beautiful Christmas cards, but I reached for something on the adorable side this year. Here’s a look at the card I made:

The card features four dies from the Gnomes Dies, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog (the Gnomes Dies are carrying over as they coordinate with a stamp set in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. What fun! This bearded gnome is built with just dies, though. Here’s a look at the Kindest Gnomes Bundle, made up of the Kindest Gnomes stamp set and Gnomes Dies (the dies are still available):

I cropped the hats with a variety of Designer Series Papers (more on those later), cropped the nose with Petal Pink, cropped the beard with Snowy White Velvet Sheets and cropped the feet with Soft Suede. Just glued them all together for a super-fun figure.

I made a stencil with Layering Circles Dies. Using my Blending Brush and Pool Party ink, I painted a blue circle on each white card panel. I stamped a handful of snowflakes from the Frosted Flurry stamp set (also with Pool Party) on my backdrop. Here’s a closer look:

I added a band of Old Olive trees that I cropped with the Evergreen Border Punch from Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. I’ve had the punch for a while – and this card gave me a grand opportunity to put it to use. What fun!

The sentiment on the front of my card is pulled from the Spruced Up stamp set. The outside says “Whatever brings you happiness…” and the inside says “may it be yours this Holiday Season.” I love that!
