Yesterday I shared a sweet card with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle and Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper. The card features a simple layout with a band of Designer Series right down the middle of another panel of Designer Series Paper. While the colored flowers at the center of the card steals the show, the layout provides a great backdrop for the oval and sentiment at the heart of the card. If you missed that card, you can see it here.
Today I’ve made two more cards with the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper – each card features the same layout (in a square shape this time) – with different ways to showcase flowers in each. Here are my cards:
The Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper can be yours for free with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration (which runs through the end of February) – and you’re going to want this pack (or an extra pack). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper:
Both of these cards are cropped with a 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ (scored at 4-1/4″) card base. The largest panel measures 4″ square on each, and the band down the middle measures 3″ x 4″.
Below is a closer look at each of the cards with a couple of tidbits about each.
The Good You Do
- The Flowers. The flowers in this card look great against the Mossy Meadow grid behind them. No stamping, no coloring – just cutting them right from the pack of papers. Gorgeous, right?!
- The Sentiment. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Thick Basic White with the Something Fancy stamp set – such a great sentiment, isn’t it?! I’ve added a link to the stamp set in the product links below.
- The Oval. The large oval at the center of this card is cropped with the Framed Florets Dies. I’ve added a link to these dies in the product links below.
- The Milky Dots. I added three clear Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots to the paper behind the sentiment. They might be hard to see on this floral panel, but they are there (and they are beautiful).
Friend
- The Flowers. There are no flowers on these two panels I used from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper. I stamped the gorgeous flowers from the Fragrant Flowers stamp set and Blackberry Bliss ink on the Fresh Freesia panel. I intended to stamp the entire panel of Designer Series Paper, but I loved it just like this – so I stopped.
- The Sentiment. The sentiment is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink on Thick Basic White with the Fragrant Flowers stamp set. There’s a “FRIEND” and “LOVE” in the stamp set that coordinate with the “THANKS” and “HELLO” but can also be used by themselves.
- The Oval. The sentiment at the heart of this card is punched with the Double Oval Punch – love that punch! I’ve added a link to the punch in the product links below.
- The Milky Dots. I added three Petal Pink Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots to the stamped panel behind the sentiment. They look a little gray and a little purple against the backdrop. Love these!
These are simple cards, and this pack of papers makes them SO EASY to make. There are so many combinations of beautiful patterns that can be paired to create great looks. I hope you’ll play with these papers – they are pretty spectacular.
