I love to share Stampin’ Up!’s products with my blog readers, team members and customers. Today, I’m happy to share a super-fun Blog Candy Giveaway today with one lucky blog reader.
Blog Candy Giveaway
Like all retailers, Stampin’ Up! has the difficult job of forecasting exactly what its customers will want to buy and when they will want to place their orders. No company wants to under-order products (they lose out on sales), but no company wants to over-order products, either (ending a sales cycle with a warehouse full of costly products that aren’t selling). To keep costs low, companies must straddle that line to find the right balance – it doesn’t always feel good to customers when products run out, but I would suggest it feels better than higher costs that would follow a full warehouse.
The Lucky Clover Punch has proven far more popular than the company’s forecasters predicted it would be. I was surprised, too, by the number of people who picked up this bundle in January (for a holiday that isn’t until mid-March). Some picked up the St. Patrick’s Day bundle before they ordered their Valentine’s Day goodies or Easter goodies. With this popularity, the Lucky Clover punch has sold out in the U.S. and won’t be restocked (they won’t have them back in stock before the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday).
Here’s a look at the Lucky Clover Bundle, now discontinued in the U.S.:
While the bundle is gone (because of the unavailability of the punch), the stamp set is still available for purchase. Here’s a look at the Lucky Clover stamp set:
If you didn’t have a chance to snatch up a Lucky Clover Punch before it went away, then I’ve got some good news for you! I’m happy to host a blog candy giveaway with this amazing bundle – and so much more. Such fun!
Here’s what’s included in this bundle of goodies:
- Lucky Clover Bundle (including Lucky Clover stamp set and Lucky Clover Punch)
- Love Cats Stamp Set
- Loose Daisy Embellishments
- Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems

It’s hard for me to pick which one I like best. Punches are my “go to” when doing multiples of things. It’s just so much quicker. Die cuts offer so many more options. If I had to pick just one….I’d pick punches. I guess I’m lazy. I have certainly bought my share of die cuts over the years though, and will continue to do so.
Thanks for the blog candy giveaway.
I would have to go with dies. I like punches also, who really likes to fussy cut. My reasoning for dies is they take up less space. When you live in a small space (under 800 square feet) you need all the room you can get.
Love your color combinations!
Happy Valentine’s Day
I prefer Dies over punches!
Brian, this is a hard question! I use both regularly. But, if pushed to choose, I would have to pick dies. The greater variety is definitely a big draw. Thanks for a chance to win! And for the inspiration from all your posts. 😊
My go-to are punches. I love the look intricate dies make but just don’t have enough patience sometimes! 🙂
I like dies better than punches. They take less room to store for one thing, but right now with my RA, it is harder for me to use a punch compared to dies because my wrists are affected by the RA so much. Punches have their purpose, but dies are my fave!!
What a tough question, Brian! I definitely like punches for their accessibility and functionality. But as a crafter who doesn’t enjoy fussy cutting, I love when dies are available to go with a stamp set I have my eyes on.
I prefer punches. They are quick and easy- no set up required:)
Punches are SO convenient, but I love the versatility and variety of dies so I’ll have to choose the dies.
Punches because of the ease of use.
i prefer the dies as I have RA and it is harder to use the punches sometimes. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who will do all the punching I need. He knows how to use the dies as well.
Love all the info, hints, tips and shares you offer–as well as surprise gifts like this.
punches or dies–hard to choose. dies take up less space bur punches are great when just needing one cut. guess I can’t live without either one!
I love punches but find myself using dies more often.
Your cards are always inspirational – thanks for the blog candy opportunity!
You are an inspiration to all! I prefer punches. Quick and easy to mass produce. Your generosity is appreciated and awesome! Thank you
That’s a tough one! I love punches because they are so much quicker to use, but dies are so much easier to store!
I had the shamrock punch on my wish list. I can’t believe it’s gone already. Please, Please draw my name for your give away.
PS I also love the cat set.
I will use either punches or dies but I prefer punches when I’m in a hurry.
I love punches and can’t believe I didn’t get the clover punch and now it is sold out. Punches are a quick way to get a cut out rather than finding the die cuts. The stamp set Lucky Clover is very cute though so I could cut out the clover.
Dies, punches, dies, punches…
I like both! Maybe dies win by a little.
I generally like dies better because of the wider variey of choices that are available. There’s also times that I like punches because they are faster to make mass quantities of. If I could only choose one, it would be DIES❤
Although I like both, I’d say I like dies more.
What a fun giveaway!
Thanks for the chance to win, Brian! I love the versatility of dies but find them a bit fiddly and the set-up somewhat cumbersome. Punches are quick and easy when making a number of cards, like when I’m doing Valentines for eight grandkids!
You are such a great artist. I read your post every morning to view your new ideas and tips. I am sorry that the Lucky Clover punch is no longer available. I was ordering it as my granddaughter was born on March 17th but discovered it was no longer available to order. So sad for me!!
I use both the dies and the punches but like the dies better as there is more flexibility with sizes etc.
Have a great Valentine’s Day.
Hi Brian I seem to always want dies. Punches are nice but honestly I have no more room to store them. Plus I like that the dies sometimes emboss the die cut — added bonus! Love reading your blog everyday!
Always read your email everyday and enjoy the clean, simple cards you make! Plus you are always so generous with your blog candy give aways!
Brian, this is a hard choice! I use both often. But, if I have to choose, I would pick dies. Thanks for a chance to win! And for your daily posts.
Oh, no Brian, the punch is gone. I was going to order that bundle. Punches are so easy and I love them so much. I am wondering if this will come back again, or gone forever. Makes me sad!!
Tough question. I prefer dies since there are so many different ones in a set. But it is easier to just grab the punch and ta-da!
Brain all though I am on a fixed income I so wanted to order this set, but I missed out.As for Punches I like them but dies have so many more options so I guess My answer would have to be Dies. I love your cards Brain. Thanks for always sharing your talent
Love them both! Punches for the ease and dies for the intricacies of what they can do
Hi Brian, look forward to your blog each morning. I like the simplicity of a punch, especially when doing multiple cards.
I love cats!!
Definitely a hard choice to make — I love all the details that dies provide as well as the ability to store them more easily— but, when I am creating multiples of cards or tags, it’s great to be able to reach for a punch! Thanks for all the inspiration you provide & all the creativity you share on a daily basis 😊
Both punches and dies have their place in your crafting arsenal and I use both but I have to admit that I reach for punches more often because I find myself in a time crunch to get a card done and in the mail.
Hey Brian, I prefer dies to punches. Main reason is that they are easier to store, they do not take up much space.
I feel like they both have their place, and for me couldn’t do without either one! Dies for such a huge assortment and details, but punches for instant gratification and speed! So I’ll take and use both! Thanks so much for the opportunity to try and win this cute set!
Dies because of the details.
I prefer punches because they are quickest and easiest, no need to get out the Big Shot, plates, line up dies, etc. But punches can be limiting if you want to reach into the center of a panel. Looking at inventory list, I have about 200 Stampin Up! die sets to 65 punches…. So dies are the way to go!
Honestly, I prefer punches at this time of my life. The die cut machines are getting harder and harder to use with my hands. Turning the handles on the machines for numerous dies on one card or multiples for my card class are almost impossible these days.
Punches for me. They are quick, easy and look great with a dimensional. “Punches today, keep the blues away.”
😇
I have to go with dies because they take up less space in my small work area that serves as my cardmaking corner. But I still enjoy punches too.
I prefer dies because you get more bang for your money and are more intricate than punches. I was really surprised (and happy for SU) when I heard that the bundle had sold out. Sad that I’d missed, but hopeful that I might win! 🙂 Yay! Thanks for the chance!
Hi Brian
I find punches are faster but dies are more versatile and can cut out larger items and entire florals etc
I like both!
I really like your SuperBowl card- simple but elegant!
Thanks 😊
Dies over Punches( they take up a lot of room, especially when you’ve collected a few☺️)Thanks for the chance to win another one though🤣
I prefer dies. with punches there is only one feature figure. with the dies you usually get your choice of which figures you want to use.
I love my punches. Quick and easy to use!
I had been collecting punches before the advent of dies. I was very excited about dies. So much less space! So many more options! I sold some of my punches and purchased lots of dies. If I had to choose, I would keep my dies. Dies are better for intricate shapes. I do appreciate punches for the ease of use and they are easy to share. I’m hoping for the luck of the Irish to win this awesome giveaway. Thank you, Brian!
HI Brian, ooof- who would have thought that would be a hard question to answer?! I use both pretty regularly, but if I have to choose- I would go with punches as they are quicker to use and I can punch out more images than with dies in a shorter amount of time. Thank you for the chance to win some awesome blog candy! You rock!
Hi Brian! It depends on what project I’m working on. Punches are great for speed when you’re mass producing, but sometimes you can’t fit the punch where you need to punch or waste paper. Dies are more time consuming but easily placed where you need them.
Hard to choose. I love the quickness of the punch , but love the variety of the dies. I guess my go to are the dies.
