More Color Combinations with Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. The fun colors and patterns in the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper are perfect for the Springtime showers and sunny days represented on the pages of the papers. I’ve really loved working with these papers (WAY more than I expected I would), and I’m excited to share a bit more about these papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper:

The characters, the flower, the umbrellas – how sweet are these pages?! I love the mix of soft and bold patterns – you’ll want these papers on-hand throughout the year. There’s something in this pack of papers for everyone. The Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper pack includes Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Old Olive.

Inspiration

I have really enjoyed working with the pages in the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper – I never expected to love them so much. The colors, imagery and patterns in the papers are so uplifting and fun! Here are some of my projects with the pages from the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):

You can tell I really love these papers, right? It seems I’m really drawn to these fun characters! All of these pages are really fun to play with, though, especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the papers. Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper – such a great variety of colors in this pack of papers:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Mango Melody, Balmy Blue, Old Olive Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Basic Black

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Flirty Flamingo, Pear PIzzazz, Balmy Blue Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration - Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape, Basic BlackBy limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

If you love these papers as much as I do, I hope you’ll take a look at the products in this suite – to shop these products in my online store, click on the image below:
