A sweet card doesn’t have to be complicated – sometimes simple layers and sweet colors can make the perfect card to say what you want to say. I started with the Petal Park Bundle and ended with the Silly Goose stamp set – together, they made me very happy. Here’s the card I’ve made:
Petal Park is a two-step stamp set – on a piece of Thick Basic White, I stamped the filler image of leaves with Pear Pizzazz and the outline image of leaves with Shaded Spruce. On a scrap of Basic White, I stamped the filler image of Flowers with Flirty Flamingo and the outline of the flower image with Sweet Sorbet. Since all three flowers are included on one stamp, I was able to crop all three flowers with one pass into the Petal Park Punch. Score! I cropped the focal panel with the Deckled Rectangle Dies for textured edges around the panel. I glued down the three flowers and added three gold sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Here’s a closer look:
Even when the stamped images aren’t PERFECTLY aligned, they still look great.
The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Pool Party and punched with the Double Oval Punch. You might not have guessed it, but this sweet, to-the-point sentiment is pulled from my favorite whimsy set in the new Mini Catalog – Silly Goose. Here’s a look at this fun stamp set:
Pool Party is a color that unites all others. I love it! It looks great with the mix of reds in the flowers and the mix of greens in the leaves. It also helps to make this card NOT look like a Christmas card. 😀 If you like this mix of Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sorbet, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Shaded Spruce as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
