Seeing Red for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.

RED - InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! This year’s hops are inspired by our favorite shapes and favorite colors – today’s projects showcase some of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing shades of red. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Moo! Cluck! Oink!

There are so many ways to say “hello” – today’s card gives you three against a backdrop of cows, pigs and chickens. The card I’ve made to share with you today starts with these three animal sounds on a 4-1/4″ square panel:

Alphabest, Simply Fabulous, Conversation Bubbles Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe 4″ square panel on the front opens up to a “just saying hello” panel inside:

Alphabest, Simply Fabulous, Conversation Bubbles Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe 4″ x 12″ piece of Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper is folded at 4″ and 8″ to build an accordion-style card that opens right up to the great joy of the recipient. How fun is that?!

The animal greetings on the front of the card are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on Sahara Sand cardstock with the Alphabest stamp set and cropped with the Conversation Bubbles Dies. I love that I can build my own words with this photopolymer alphabet set. For reference, “cock-a-doodle-do!” wouldn’t fit in one of the word bubble dies. Here’s a look at the Alphabest Bundle:

Simply Fabulous, Stampin Up!, 159133The sentiments are key to this card, but it’s the Cherry Cobbler backdrop that (1) pulls the card together and (2) ties the card to the “red” theme of today’s InKing Royalty Blog Hop. The Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper is one of the Level One Sale-a-Bration options that can be selected for free with a $50 order. Here’s a closer look at the sweet pattern on the paper I used today:
