A Wild Birthday with Like an Animal

Do you have a bunch of gorgeous Designer Series Papers sitting around that you want to put to use? Are you searching high and low for a quick-and-easy way to put that paper to use? Boy, have I got some great news for you! Here’s a fun card I made with all six of the metallic prints in the Like an Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper:

Cheetahs, zebras and snakes – oh my! There’s quite a collection of animal prints in the Like an Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper. What fun! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

Like an Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 160841I started with six 5/8″ x 5″ strips of papers. I positioned them on my desk in a way that looked good to me – they are staggered a bit and each is a little cattywampus. Together, though, they look good (and I’d never achieve that balance if I just started gluing). So…once I had them positioned on my desk the way I wanted them, I secured them with a strip from a Post-It Note (this happens to be the top of a self-branded Post-It Note). After they were secured with the Post-In Note, I trimmed the tops and bottoms of the strips with my paper snips, giving them a creative haircut. Here’s a look:

I glued them to the 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock (since they were secured with the Post-It Note, I could exactly center them where I wanted them). I added a strip of Gold Foil (framed by a strip of Sahara Sand) across the middle of the strips and then added a fun sentiment:

The sentiment is from the NEWLY RELEASED Rhino Ready Bundle and punched with the Online Exclusives 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. The sentiment is a perfect match for this paper, don’t you think? Here’s a look at the Rhino Ready Bundle:
