On Tuesday I shared a few pictures and stories about the kickoff of our overseas vacation that started in London and then took us to Arundel and Littlehampton along the UK’s coast. If you missed that post, you can see more here. With Stampin’ Up!’s June promotions, I had to dedicate a little time to kicking those off (see more here). Today I’m picking up where we left off to share a bunch of photos from the third segment of my trip across the pond.
I’m required to say that less that 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators earn this trip by sales and team growth. I’m so happy to have been one of them.
Emma picked up Jeremiah and me on Sunday morning to deliver us to Southampton port. After a stop at Starbucks for morning fuel, we were ready to go! I’ve never had a nicer driver! Two things for my American friends – (1) Emma is driving in this picture and (2) I panicked and reached for my steering wheel (that wasn’t there) multiple times. One more – when Emma stopped the car, I (by instinct), but the car in park. 😀
When we couldn’t fit Emma in our suitcases, she just dropped Jeremiah and me at the port to board Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas for Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Incentive Trip. I snagged this picture of our boat from fello demonstrator, Janet Wakeland:
That’s quite a boat, huh? Here’s a look at our stateroom (picture taken while we waited for our bags to arrive):
But the most important thing was to stock up on the Royal Caribbean Coconut Ranger Cookies. They are the absolute best!
Two of my team members earned the incentive trip (Julie DiMatteo and Candy Ford). Candy wasn’t able to join us. Mary Fish (my up-upline and friend) treated us to dinner at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant on Monday night. It was awesome! So. Much. Food. Pictured below are Jennifer Roque and her mom, Mary Fish and Scott, me and Jeremiah, Bryan and Julie DiMatteo.
The Norwegian Fjords cruise took us down narrow waterways with gorgeous scenes and beautiful towns. Here’s a look at one of the waterfalls along our path. This picture is taken from across the boat to show how close we were to the scenes around us:
Our ship stopped in Haugesund, Olden and Stavanger. We weren’t able to exit the boat in Geiranger because of the heavy winds. The small towns along our path were absolutely gorgeous.
This is a look at Stavanger from our stateroom balcony:
The places and foods and travels were a wonderful part of this trip, but the people were my favorite part. Here are some faces you might recognize:
me, Jeremiah, Laura Milligan, Kylie Bertucci:
me, Jeremiah, Stella MacKay and Doug MacKay:
me, Tim Lauer and Scot Strehlow (three male achievers):
I loved the opportunity to chat with Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up!’s CEO:
And Shelli Gardner, Stampin’ Up! Co-Founder and Board Chair:
and how could I not grab a picture with Sterling, Shelli’s husband:
me, Jeremiah, Michelle Last, Simon Last:
I know these pictures don’t show you every nook and cranny from our adventure, but I hope they give you a taste of the joy and happiness. I loved every minute of this trip (although I would love to have avoided the two nights of rough waters) and am thrilled I could share some of the memories with you.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Brian
