Over the past week, I’ve shared five projects that were a part of my presentation to Allison Okamitsu’s Canadian Demonstrator event. While there are fun elements to each of the five cards, the unique color combinations were central to my presentation that focused on working with new colors and finding combinations that make the colors shine.
Over the posts where I’ve shared the cards I didn’t always share the color combinations (I guess I had other important things to cover), so I thought I’d share them now.
Pebbled Path is a beautiful taupe that works so well for many landscapes, but I felt drawn to this brown-gray as a beach accent. To see my card with this color combination, CLICK HERE.
Oh, Boho Blue, how I love you! This soft blue would look great with any pink and green, but I chose Flirty Flamingo (a Brights pink) and Shaded Spruce (a Regals green) to accent this blue. To see my comforting card with this color combination, CLICK HERE.
I just love Copper Clay – it’s rich and soft at the same time. I paired it with Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral for a fun card I used in my Be Inspired Blog Hop. The colors in my photos read more “pink” than “coral”, but the real-live card is a gorgeous Calypso. To see that card, CLICK HERE.
Moody Mauve, you perplex me. One minute you remind me of the dentist’s office and the next you are trendy and beautiful (congratulations to dentist’s offices everywhere – you are coming back in fashion!). I paired Moody Mauve with two other dusty colors (Lost Lagoon and Misty Moonlight) for a simple-and-easy card. If you’d like to see that card, CLICK HERE.
Wild Wheat is the most talked about of the new In Colors. When the gold in Wild Wheat is allowed to shine, the color is really beautiful. That’s why I paired Wild Wheat with Smoky Slate and Basic Black – these grays allowed the gold in Wild Wheat to step forward. ♥ If you’d like to see my card with this color combination, CLICK HERE.
More Combinations
Beyond these five cards, I’ve used the new In Colors a lot – it’s always a fun challenge for me to work with them a lot while I get to know them. To see even more color combinations with the 2023-2025 In Colors, CLICK HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today!
