Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! This month’s hop projects center around a SUNSHINE theme, so I hope you are ready for some sunshine fun! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Change Can Be Beautiful
I had so many plans for showcasing sunshine for today’s hop. Would I take you to the beach? Would I showcase a setting sun? Should I make an all-yellow card? These plans took a sudden turn as I started playing with some of my new goodies from Stampin’ Up!’s upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. “Summer fun” quickly turned to “Fall beauty” when I came across this gorgeous design from a new pack of papers:
The All About Autumn Suite Collection includes so many gorgeous images, colors and textures for Autumn (and the rest of the year). The All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Papers includes a mix of GORGEOUS photographs on one side and BEAUTIFUL all-occasion patterns on the other side. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (available starting September 6):
There are so many amazing colors and textures in this pack of papers. LOVE THEM! Here’s a closer look at the page I used on today’s card:
The sentiment and die-cute frame on my card are both bulled from the Autumn Leaves Bundle that is also a part of the All About Autumn Suite Collection. I cropped the frame with Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and cut the Crumb Cake and Early Espresso pieces to sit inside the frame. The full sentiment in this stamp set says “Autumn Teaches Us that Change Can Be Beautiful.” I love that, but I used tape to mask the first part of the sentiment when I stamped it. This smaller sentiment gives me more room on the card to showcase the beautiful Designer Series Paper. Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card:
And here’s a look at the Autumn Leaves Bundle (available starting September 6):
I framed this beautiful scene with colors from the design – Very Vanilla, Copper Clay (cropped with the Deckled Rectangles Dies), Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. If you like this mix of warm tones as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
I added three copper sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins for a little extra shine on the card. This might not be the bright, shiny card I set out to make with the Sunshine theme, but the sun is so important to this design.

Card making simplicity and perfection.
🙂 Thank you so much, Mary! The paper did all the work here. ♥
Beautiful card, love the deckled rectangle and your color combination is wonderful!
Thank you, Kimberly! I had originally cropped the DSP with the Deckled Rectangle, but it didn’t show up as well as having it behind the image. I just trimmed the edges on the focal paper and let the deckled rectangle shine behind it. Glad you like it!
This card made me gasp! Just what I needed this morning. Thank You!
Awww…thank you so much! This paper is art. ♥
Wow! I will need my sunglasses to walk through these wonderful fall woods. Gotta love it when a piece of paper is so beautiful it carries the entire card. Love it!! Enjoy your day!
Thank you so much, my friend! I couldn’t agree more – this paper is perfection! Hope your day has been great!
Brian this card is stunning! This paper pack was the first item I added to my must have list, your card proves I was right!
You couldn’t be more right, Katrina! I love every page in this pack of papers – an easy “must have” decision. Thanks so much!
Beautiful card and layered sentiment!
Thanks so much, Windy! I could ONLY play with the layers because I wasn’t going to cover up that gorgeous scene. Glad you like it! ♥
Stunning card! From your amazing layers to your color palette to your subtle bling. Chefs kiss! Another great hop!
Thanks so much, Pam! It wasn’t quite what I had in mind when I decided on this theme, but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. This paper is *chef’s kiss* perfection!
Brilliant! Great way to use this paper.
Thanks so much, Susan! The paper couldn’t be more beautiful. ♥
Love how you used this paper!
Thanks, Marilyn! It kinda does the work for me. One of the best packs we have ever had! ♥
Stunning card Brian! I agree with you on one of the BEST paper packs ever!
Thank you, Caroline! It helps that I LOOOOVE Fall, but these pages are amazing.
Well Shoot Brian. I got the bundle but didn’t get the paper. Now I have to go back and order the paper. This is card is beyond stunning!
