Today I want to focus on the front cover of this incredible catalog.
Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Holiday Mini Catalogs have been delivered to demonstrators, and copies are starting to make their way to customers. What fun!
While I can’t yet show you the inside pages of the new catalog (we can only share the paper version of the book until it launches on September 6), I can show you the front cover. Here’s a look at the front cover of Stampin’ Up!’s September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (aka, the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog):
In today’s post, I’m sharing a little bit about the front cover, including a closer look at both of the cards showcased on the front of the AMAZING book.
Suite Collection
Both cards on the front cover of the 2023 Holiday Mini feature products from the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection, a double-bundle suite in the new catalog. Here’s a look at the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection:
This suite includes the Joy of Noel Bundle, Christmas Classics Bundle, Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper, Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper, Black & Very Vanilla 3/8″ Large Check Ribbon and Loose Holly Gems & Sequins.

Card 1 – MERRY
The first card showcased on the front cover the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog features a simple design, but there are some fun techniques here, too. Here’s a closer look at the first card:
The Shaded Spruce square base of this card (3″ x 6″ scored at 3″) is stamped with the holly branches from the Joy of Noel stamp set using Shaded Spruce ink. The pine needles are stamped with the Christmas Classics stamp set using Craft White ink. The artist used two-tone embossing to add shine to the needles, filling the branches with white embossing powder, shaking the branches a bit and then adding gold embossing powder. How cool is that?! The branches are cropped with the coordinating Christmas Classics Dies.
A small strip of the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper and a small strip of the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper adorn the left spine of the card. Linen Thread is tied around that side for a little extra texture.
The “MERRY” sentiment is stamped from the Christmas Classics stamp set on Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Card 2 – Peace on Earth
The second card featured on the front cover of the new catalog is a brilliant mix of holly branches to make a traditional wreath. Here’s that card:
Like the first card, the second card showcases a mix of the two bundles in the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection.
The wreath is built with four (or five) boughs from the Joy of Noel stamp set. The images are stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and watercolored with a mix of Shaded Spruce and Old Olive inks. The boughs are arranged in a wreath with a few Loose Holly Gems & Sequins for added color and texture.
The bottom, left corner of the wreath is adorned with pine needles and stems that are cropped from the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Christmas Classics Dies. The sentiment is stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink on Thick Basic White cardstock with the Christmas Classics stamp set (and snipped with paper snips). A few strips of the Black & Very Vanilla 3/8″ Large Check Ribbon are tucked behind the sentiment.
The Basic White panel behind the wreath is cropped with the peek-through dies from the Christmas Classics Dies for a little added intrigue.
