Festive Tags Kit with Mom

I’m just back from a weekend at Mom’s. We got out in the nice weather a bit, but most of our time was spent inside – we watched movies, did some things around the house and did a little crafting.

With this month’s Kits Collection Sale (all kits are marked 30% off during the sale), I picked up some kits for mom and me to put together. I was happy to be able to put these together with her. There’s no stamping in this kit – just a lot of fun assembly for some great, festive tags. Here’s a look at the finished product:

The kit is complete with a great mix of colors – traditional and more contemporary. The kit features Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Garden Green, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Basic Black.

Stampin Up! Color Coordination Festive Tags Kit, 162485Mom and I had two kits to play with, so we ended up with 30 adorable tags for Mom to add to this year’s Christmas gifts. These will look great on family gifts, but they’ll also be really special for small gifts to Mom’s postman, local restaurant owner and friends. Here’s a look at the punched out contents from one of the kits:

Festive Tags Kit, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI really loved these tags (even before they were added to a larger, red tag and before the twine was added:

  1. Good Morning Brian, I love when you have your Mom in your blog. She just brings a smile to my face. The tags are so cute. Will she use all of them for your gifts?! Ha. Ha. Ha.
    Have a blessed day.

    • Thanks, Nancy! I love when we have “a project to complete” so I can feature her on my blog. She was all-in. 🙂 She will likely gift small stacks of tags to friends and family, but I’ll make sure (at least) one goes on my really big gift this year. 🙂

  2. What a fun kit for you and your sweet mother to put together. The tags are very pretty and will come in handy before we know it. Enjoy your day!

  3. Looks like a “kit-tastic” day. Love your mom!

  4. Brian the photo you captured of her is adorable, I know you had a great time.

Spokesmodel, indeed!!! Even those these are still photos, I can hear your mom’s voice giving a shoutout about these lovely, fun tags!

    • I didn’t even have to take multiple photos – she’s a professional who was ready to go each time. A few laughs between pictures, but she’s pretty photogenic.

  5. Every time you post about you and Mom getting together, it makes me smile…BIG! Mom is adorable and I love seeing what you create together. I also took advantage of the kits sale and did 2 kits Saturday as I visited virtually with my AZ team at their stamp camp. These kits are great, quick and easy. Having them on sale this month is the best! I’m putting mine in my first craft show in my new home town in October.

    • Thanks so much, Bobbi! We had a good time with these. The kits are such an easy way to craft without a lot of thinking. 🙂 Hope you enjoyed working on them with your team. ♥

  10. Everyone has said it—It’s impossible not to smile when Mary graces your blog. 😁
I bought 2 of these kits: one to use as intended, and one to use on card fronts with my grandkids. Fast and fun. I love that the 2nd thing out of their mouths when I visit (after”What are we baking?”) is “What stuff did you bring for stamping? Did you bring a Paper Pumpkin? Do you have any new kits for us?” Get ‘em young, train ‘em early…😉

  11. Beautiful tags. I love it when your mom appears on your blog. I wish my mom would craft with me, 🙂

    • I got my crafting gene from Mom – she’s been involved with nearly every craft known to mankind over the years. We have fun. Much love to you. ♥
