Yesterday I shared that the Painted Lavender Bundle is back in stock and that all products from Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2024 Mini Catalog are available – no backorders for these new products. That doesn’t mean some won’t eventually go away for a short time, but there are no inventory issues for now. As I was riding the high about this great news, I sat down to make a card of encouragement with the lovely products in the Perennial Lavender Suite. Here’s my card:
My many-layers card features elements of both of the bundles in the Perennial Lavender Suite Collection (Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage Bundle), two panels of the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and the Purple Fine Sparkle Gems – if only I had room for a paper butterfly! Here’s a look at the Perennial Lavender Suite Collection, which is CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:

This card is a bit more bougie than I’m accustomed to making, but it was fun to build and create. I used a handful of technique to color the images at the heart of the card, and I want to share them with you. First, here’s a closer look at the bushel of lavender on my card:
- The greenery on my card is cropped with the dies and Lost Lagoon cardstock – no coloring. I made sure to not glue the leaves completely to the card (a mistake I often make) so they’d have a little more life on my card.
- The flowers on the left of the lavender are cropped from Basic White cardstock with the dies along the left side of the image above. I used a sponge dauber to lightly add Fresh Freesia ink to the entire cropped image. With a Blender Pen, I added light touches of Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon ink to add a little more color to the elements.
- The large brand of lavender is inked with Highland Heather ink. Before I stamped it onto Basic White cardstock and cropped it with the dies, I lightly colored some of the flowers with my Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write Marker to add a variety of purple tones to the lavender.
- There’s a single branch of lavender that sits over the larger one. I stamped that one with Gorgeous Grape ink so it would stand out against the lighter, multi-toned lavender.
I mounted my bouquet against a neutral piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper that’s mounted over a Thick White paper that was cropped with the Perennial Postage Dies. I love these dies, and I love these papers. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper:
I tied a Linen Thread bow around the base panel (it’ so easy to position ribbon and twine with these die-cut divots. I accented my bouquet and sweet sentiment with three Gorgeous Grape gems from the coordinating Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. Such a great addition!
