So Glad That You’re My Dad – Happy Father’s Day!

Today is Father’s Day in the United States. While my father passed a long time ago, my world is filled with amazing Dads and men who are great role models for the youth around them. Happy to celebrate these amazing men today! Cards for the the men in your life don’t have to be ugly – there are so many ways to create cards that are beautiful without offending the masculine senses of the man.:)

If you missed last week’s parade of Father’s Day cards (perhaps you need a little inspiration to whip up something today?), CLICK HERE. Here’s a GORGEOUS (if I don’t say so myself) Father’s Day card I made with some new products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024 Annual Catalog:

My card is a gate fold card (5-1/2″ tall and 8-1/2″ wide, scored 2-1/8″ from either side. The base of my card is Cajun Craze. I added a panel of the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, framing it with Wild Wheat cardstock. The sentiments on the front of the card (and the inside) are from the Gone Fishing stamp set, a carried over stamp set that’s perfect for the fishing enthusiast or Dad in your life. I added two cattails to the front of the card to coordinate with the imagery of the paper. Here’s a closer look:

The cattails are from the Charming Duck Pond Bundle. I cut them once with Wild Wheat and once with Cajun Craze. I snipped the seeds of the cattails from the Cajun Craze paper and glued them to the coordinating die-cuts from the Wild Wheat die-cuts. When the 1″ wide belly band slides off the card and the sides open, the recipient is greeted with a beautiful sentiment inside. To the 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White panel, I added a 1″ strip of the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper and a thin strip of Cajun Craze. I stamped the sentiment with Cajun Craze. Here’s a closer look:
