You’re on My Mind with Thoughtful Journey

It started as a Christmas card design with a beautiful, lakeside landscape. As I started assembling it, though, my card transformed into a sympathy card with all the same beauty and peace I wanted for the Christmas card. Here’s a card I made to showcase my favorite page of the the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

It’s not easy for me to define my favorite page from this pack of papers because there are so many stars in this pack. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:

Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 163303They are all gorgeous, right?! Here’s a closer look at my favorite page:

A design from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI trimmed 3/4″ strips from the right side of this page. Each strip is cut to 4-1/2″ long (some are trimmed across the top and some across the bottom so the image was centered while the strips were staggered). Such an easy way to showcase this beautiful page of papers!

I added a sentiment from the Quiet Reflection stamp set (stamped in Misty Moonlight) and cropped with the largest circle die from the Unbounded Love Dies. Here’s a look at the watercolored images and beautiful sentiments in Quiet Reflection:

Quiet Reflection, Stampin Up! 162689There are a lot of versatile sentiments and dies in the Unbounded Love Bundle. This set is currently on sale (and running low inventory). Now’s a great time to take another look! Here’s a look at the Unbounded Love Bundle:

Unbounded Love Bundle, Stampin Up!, 163384I cut two strips of cardstock (Misty Moonlight at 3/8″ and Boho Blue at 1/4″) to add below my sentiment. I burnished the strips over and over and over with my bone folder until the paper split. I pealed apart the strips to reveal the textured inside of the papers and then glued them down. Here’s a closer look at the textured I created on these little strips:
